The first night we walked around the square. People were sitting out watching a movie and we watched for awhile too. Then we window shopped and just shopped. The farmers Market in the daytime is fun with musicians, food and demos of pottery making

Lots of neat little places to eat- high end and budget. Good bars and shops. Great atmosphere. Limited parking but garages are aplenty and not expensive.

This 6-8 block downtown area is filled with restaurants, shops and boutiques, and other interesting nooks and crannies for visitors, students and townies. If you are in R'noke for more than a day check this out!

When we visited the farmers market was happening and we had a great time browsing the different vendors and the food. There is a lot of attractions packed into this area for all ages.
