Our family went for an outing to see the Illuminights at Explore Park, Only 3 of us. We arrived on our designated time, due to social distancing Guidelines, arrival times would be enforced! Also if you arrived 15 minutes Late you may be at risk forfeiting your tickets! The place was packed, masks were required, also social distancing was Also required by each party! No one enforced these rules, people with out Masks, walking right on top of you, a total mess! We did not finish walking thru, Due no mask on a lot of people, stopping and congregating right in front Of every entrance and exits! Just a total disaster! Bad year to have this outing! People just won’t listen and wear mask, too inconsiderate of other peoples Space! If you want COVID head on up to the Illuminights they will share it with Everyone!!!…

While staying in a cabin onsite, we hiked some of the nature trails and went to the Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor Center. It was quiet and peaceful. Planning to come back in the fall.

We had to cancel the rest of the trip and pack up but it was all good. We have already scoped out our next trip camping site. If you are looking to camp, this is the spot!!! Ten feet from the river and the staff are awesome to work with. …

Took my grandchildren and their parents to see this light display at Explore Park. The tickets were a little high at $14 for adults and $6 for 2 year olds but bought them in advance(discount) and went to the Park. It was great! over half a million lights over several acres. My grandchildren ate it up. The were so excited with the displays there were some snow machines making snow. I would highly recommend this experience. To be totally honest I took my grandson back again after he went on and on about it for day.…
