I walk my dogs on the trails but since more bikers are using the trails they've become hard packed in many places resulting in soil erosion and root exposure. Not good for the sustainability of the natural environment.

Visited the park on Sunday ... Was able to drive by all amenities. Lots of improvements evident over the past few years.

Lots of trails and fun to camp out. Nice facilities that are heated and warm. Fire pits at each site and rev camping too. Skate park and soccer fields. So much to do and the water mine is nice in the summer. It can get crowded here so make reservations for large groups in advance and same is true for camping. Most other things are daytime activities which are mostly free. Have fun!

Dogs are allowed here, which is great. The lake is nice but the trail does not seem to circle the lake so you can get to a certain point and then need to double back. There are rental boats and paddle boats. There is a carousel but it is small and over priced. The campgrounds appear to be nice though we have not used them. There are pavilions that can be reserved. If you are looking for a change of scenery and to get out and about for maybe an hour or so, this is a nice place to go.

We were impressed with the park, There were Boats and water slides. However they were not open since we went over there during weekday. But overall ambiance was good. Enough room to play for kids. Kids had blast

We held our work picnic here at lunchtime in October. Fortunately we were the only group. The park is very well maintained and our pavilion overlooked the water.
On the day we were there, the grounds crew were mowing and trimming. The noise was very annoying as they knew we made a reservation for that day and location and could have easily started in another location. Secondly, the parking lot is quite a distance away from the picnic area and you have to carry your food up a hill to get there.

In the peak times, there is a water park and other amenities but I can speak on that since they were closed at the time of our picnic.

I've lived near this park for 2 decades and it has improved greatly.
Be careful on trail when hiking because people are biking the trails now!

We used to bring out kids here when they were little, now the grandkid's turn. It is a really nice place to go and spend a bit of time in nature and help teach our grandkids about things other than computers. Nature is the way to go.

Love Lake Fairfax. If you’re a runner the trails are fantastic. If you want to run on the road you will still find it challenging with steep hills.

Great place for families to hang out by the lake or go to the WaterMine.

No Wi-Fi (listed as having it on website, No Water, No sewage, No speed limit signs posted (speeders making dust everyday), only one one-way sign posted at entrance...most people going both ways. Staff worker speed as well. Only sparse gravel pads...some without. Mon-Fri they allow big groups of noisy children for daily activities just 30-40 ft from campsite (forget about quiet)...such a shame for $50 night. Dump station does not have a hose (bring your own). Bath-house was great and kept clean
