We had a lovely visit to CCW. We made a reservation ahead of time (recommended) and arrived mask on. We were greeted and welcomed and asked a questions regarding if we had any virus symptoms and given a run down on how things would work. While at our table outside, a good 6 feet from any other tables, we were able to be mask free and enjoy the picnic lunch we brought (which is allowed). To order they had a order and pick window and offered bottles and flights. You were asked to wear your mask while up and about ordering and using the bathroom. Overall we had a wonderful day and I was pleased with how well everything ran.

We enjoy every visit at CCW, mostly for the staff, who feel like family. Today we got to go out finally and experience the new normal. The Phase 1 layout here brings back all the things you look forward to on a winery visit, with just a small sacrifice on the mingling we typically encounter. Its an easy online appointment time, seamless check-in, your own dedicated space, easy ordering (wine and snacks), and you still get personal attention from owner Debby and her staff. Don't miss the Meritage or the new Cycle 76 available in cans for your hiking, biking or beach outings. Went with my Mom, who is 82, and ran into some of her friends out sipping in the sunshine too! Fun for all ages. Quiet, peaceful setting with lawn (picnic tables) and deck (wooden, easy 1 step up) tables. Restroom available, close parking. Try it out!!

We visited CCW the second weekend they reopened with COVID 19 restrictions. The safety restrictions they have in place are simple and make one feel comfortable. They greet you in the parking lot and go over the policies. You can pre-order your wine so that you only touch the wine as they pass it to you. There is a good distance between parties and the spaces are clearly marked. Although we can drink their wine on our deck at home, it sure was great to get out of the house and enjoy a lovely spring afternoon!

We have been Wine Club members at Cunningham Creek for about three years now. In pre-pandemic days, we would come for a tasting and bring our picnic, eating either indoors in the gorgeous tasting room or out on the deck. The wines are excellent and we have enjoyed private tastings in the wine making room with Bruce Deal, the owner and winemaker. Debby, his wife, runs the tasting room and schedules special events such as wine pairing dinners with local chefs, which we have also enjoyed. CCW reopened recently, in accordance with Phase 1 rules in Virginia. We made a reservation for a table on the covered deck. Our “space” was clearly marked and while inside that space, we could remove our masks. Whenever we left our space——to buy wine, snacks or to use the rest room, we were required to wear our masks, even though we were outside. Better safe than sorry!

We've been coming to this winery for years and it never disappoints. Friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, and excellent wine (the petit verdot is my favorite). With the current crisis in mind, consideration has been given to every aspect of our visit to make it the best and safest possible. We reserved a picnic table and visited with a couple of friends. The social distancing area was clearly marked and staff wore masks the entire time. We look forward to coming again soon. Make sure you pet Crush and Corky—these vineyard dogs are super friendly!
