Such a relaxing atmosphere for a wine and gin tasting, great to have a lovely singer on vocals - this was our last stop on our Non Toast Martinborough self done tour and would recommend this to others.

We visited on Labour weekend and arrived by bike at 2pm. The place was busy and the staff were overwhelmed. We asked for a cheeseboard after waiting 20 minutes in a line to get wine and were told it would be 40 minutes as they did not have enough staff. Gladly the wines were wonderful but we got on our bikes and went elsewhere. Tip for management. Get more staff for long weekends.

Over a long weekend we visited 10 wineries in the Martinborough region. This was the least satisfactory tasting. They did have a table for us to sit at. However the presentation was poor. We didn't get to try the wines each of us preferred. The result was that we purcahsed very little wine from them .

Another delightful visit to my favourite winery in this region. I sampled the new Rose and secured a couple of bottles to entertain my guests including the John Martin Pinot Noir. Rebekah the on duty manager was gracious. My dog Mojo had a whale of a time playing with Arthur. And as a Tesla destination my car juiced up as I relaxed in the porch. A wonderful relaxing afternoon.

So incredibly disappointed with the service and attitude we received yesterday when a group of 4 of us turned up at 2:30pm for the Mt Difficulty tastings at Te Kairanga. We were told that there was only a little left in the bottle and they didn’t want to have to open a new bottle because they were closing soon. When we asked what time the were closing, they replied no more service after 3:30 - closing at 4pm. That was one hour away? We had just come from an AGM, and were keen to spend the rest of the afternoon sitting outside in the lovely sun, another 4 people were going to meet us there. I’m not sure why you would put someone in charge of front of house, who so clearly lacks the skills and ability to manage such an integral part of your business. Customers to a cellar door should be welcomed, charmed and left in awe of the amazing experience they have just received, we were left feeling completely unwelcome, humiliated and deflated. Aside from that, think of the sales you missed out on... we all went the the intention of buying wine. Not only did you miss out on those sales but you’ve missed out on any future sales, as we won’t be returning. That’s a real shame because your wines are great.
