Been coming to 'Scabs' for 30 years. A great beach but watch out for the shore dumpers when the swell gets up! Park at the southern end of you want avoid the crowds a bit.

Although the foreshore is not finished, it is shaping up to be a fantastic beachfront. Envious of any overseas destination. We went to the new pools and had a great time. Can’t wait to visit again

Stunning beach with lots going on such as beach volleyball. Was nicer to walk along the beach early morning being a less busier time. Highly recommend for a swim or to watch the beach volleyball.

We are currently on holiday in Scarborough beach and yes there is work taking place that has been ongoing several years and is due to complete this year. No excess noise and the work will enhance this lovely beach area. Parts are open now including...More

Arrived late at night to find myself woken up by caterpillars (the noisy metal ones) and dust clouds in the air. While it will look amazing once finished (check before you go!) you’ll have to clamber through construction fences to get to the (beautiful once...More

It’s a nice beach with a great view. There are also plenty of places to get food and drink nearby. There was some construction going on during my stay which made it a little inconvenient but I’d like to see what it’s like when it’s...More

Awesomely long stretch of ocean with a few good waves now and then and plenty of scenery all the time. Good bars just behind the beach too. Very relaxed place. It's pretty damn good.

Great beach. In the afternoons it does get windy and wave size increases. Families with children should visit in the morning/early afternoon. Also it is common to have an initial steep drop off at waters edge as I found out 😂

Beautiful white fluffy sand and awesome crystal clear waters. Just stunning! We visited early Feb so everyone was back at work and school, so the beach was deserted. Absolutely impressive beach!
