Lawn area and amphitheatre (shaded) to sit if you don't want to sit on the sand. Great to swim or to just relax watching the surfers.

A wonderful stunning beach. At one end is Hillarys - a lovely place to visit for a coffee or some shopping.

Around the beach and the town is under construction at the moment you can still access the beach though which is lovely. I'm sure it will be great when complete. Worth a visit to check out the beach.

Is the sea too rough for kids to play and swim in as I've heard it's a surfers beach with lots of rip tides.

Hi, we will be staying the scarborough beach area next weekend for 2 nights. Would like some recommendation of places to eat (especially on the sat evening when we arrive from Malaysia) and activities to do. And will it be very cold now, especially at night? Thanks
