Lovely beach

Lovely beach, plenty free parking. We didn't go to the restaurant but heard it is good too. Worth a day at the beach

I just love this place. Whilst it's the 2nd windiest city in the world and in the afternoons it's a punish, the views are out of this world! Kite surfers go by, you can tan on the lawn or the sand. Heaps of eateries nearby and an awesome coastal walk to the beaches either side. The most amazing sunsets -... More

Pretty much our local beach- we lived in cott for 5 years and still live reasonably close by. Best to go in the mornings (and miss the wind - the freo doctor) and if possible avoid on public holidays when the beach and grass areas get flooded with people and rubbish. The fact that's the sea can get quite wavy... More

I went there close to sunset time and during the "sculptures by the sea"exposition. There were a lot of people so the beach itself was quite packed. However, if you have the chance, sit down by the rocks and wait for the sun to set. It's a rewarding view. Getting there by train is easy, as the beach is only... More

Cotteslow beach was the first of 40 walks in Paul Amyes' book "Perth's Best Bush, Coast and City Walks" that we decided to try. We had often been to Cotteslow for a day at the beach, lunch, visiting sculptures and any other excuse we could find to visit, but this time we seriously walked the foreshore. We found at least... Absolutely beautiful sunset at this beach. The sun radiant a shades of pink to the cloud and lit up the water with pink reflection. I would recommend this beach as must visit for the tourist at sunset time.

Not many cities have beaches as stunning as Cottesloe. We swam there today and it was clean and the waves enjoyable..With young children i suggest to go elsewhere as its a bit rough and goes deep quick. The sand is white and the grass picnic areas above make for nice picnic settings and shade from the sun. The bay has... More

We've been here October through April and enjoyed Cottesloe beach multiple times each week. Great safe swimming with the lifeguards around. Lots of clean white sand beach and nicely maintained green grassy areas for sunbathing. It seems to get pretty windy many afternoons (2-ish), so come earlier rather than later. Even in cooler months, the iconic Indiana building serves as... More

I was there just for fishing and i found that place great for fishing but the facilities are so far from jetty if you want to do anything else you should walk back almost 10 minutes to reach it again. But i have to mention it you can catch big fishes on the jetty if you have good luck.

Cottesloe is perfect for individuals, couples and families. The water is calm in places, especially closer to the spit, with some swell for body surfing. There are great shops for food and beachware right on the beach and its close to the Cottesloe shopping area, which has amazing stores and great restaurants.
