Crystal blue water, low waves, good sheltered swimming for kids and grassed area for sunbathing and picnicking. Plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants close to the beach. Well maintained cycle/running track. Quite a lot of parking but can get crowded after mid morning. Patrolled.

Although at times a bit busy or windy, this beach is a must see in Perth. Come between 12pm and 3pm for the best sun and temperatures. Great amenities (hotels, shops, gelato, food) and a beautiful beach and ocean. Great views too. Shark patrolled!

Best time of the year. Actually classed as Winter but trust me Perth in July is beautiful. Blue skies and 20 degrees what could be better.
