My husband and I were given a gift voucher for high tea at Yering Meadows for Christmas, since the voucher was only for the two of us we inquired as to whether children were welcome, which of course they are and at half price if under 12. We were greeted and seated promptly by a very friendly member of staff who also managed to produce 2 glasses of bubbly and a cup of tea for our 8 year old in a matter of minutes. The high tea was beautifully presented with 3 choices of sandwiches, the chicken and pesto was delicious. There were 3 hot choices of quiche, mini pizzas and sausage rolls, very nice. But of course with any high tea everyone looks forward to the sweet treats, in this case 4 varieties to choose, sultana scones with strawberry jam and cream, chocolate profiteroles, chocolate cake and a raspberry lamington. Service is prompt and friendly with tea and coffee being offered regularly. Lovely views from the dining room also. We will be back again, next time lunch.

The Croydon Golf Course relocated to Yering Meadows in 2008 at which time a new 27 hole course was created.
Regrettable, after nearly 7 years the course is not up to scratch given the green fees charged. The fare ways are decidedly shabby although the greens are fine. For the average golfer the fareways are very unforgiving. They tend to be very solid with a number of them falling away sharply down the right side where there is lots of water.
Water, there is an awful lot of it, and most of the greens are heavily protected by bunkers.
Yes, good to play on a occasions but tends to get quite wet in winter . Also find a cart to be helpful on a couple of the holes.
At $55 per round it is not a cheap course, particularly when a cart is factored in, and the lost balls, 2 or 3 at least!

The Yering Meadows Golf Club is in Melbourne's Easter Suburbs. It was established in 1925. The course is now spread over 330 acres of the Yarra Valley plain.. Public players are welcome, but they must adhere to a strict dress code.

Last Sunday we went here for breakfast, because of the bad weather we were the only ones there, but it was still welcoming and cosy; the gas fire was on always making a place friendly. My husband had the big breakfast and I had avocado smash with goats cheese, it was delicious.

Set in undulating pastures, this relatively new course is testing to say the least. Although a private club it welcomes visitors.
If you enjoy a game of golf this is an excellent course to visit.

Came here for dinner with friends and overlooked the vast grounds of this golf course. Service was not pushy and the waiting staff all had a sense of humour and were helpful with choices and in particular with wine.

The quality of the various meals was actually quite good. I'd come again and recommend people to take advantage of the moderately priced meals. The views are great and it has a relaxing atmosphere and on our visit not over crowded with customers.

Yering Meadows is a Golf Course with accommodation. The surrounds are very picturesque. I attended for lunch with 3 friends. The Cafe/Restaurant is very comfortable, roomy and quiet, the view out over the Ranges is spectacular. The menu is varied, the prices are reasonable, we all enjoyed our meals which were beautifully presented and delicious. Special mention to the service, the staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. We will be back, next time for the High Tea Saturday/Sunday $24, highly recommend.
