Disappointing to see Defqon withdrawn from this place, apart of nsw's mission to destroy live music. Bring back Defqon.1

This is a great place to bring a bike or just go for a walk. The loop is about 5km and it is a very pleasant peaceful quite spot.

Used to be an amazing location, is now a reminder of nsw's mission to destroy live music by not allowing defqon 1 to return. Would not recommend!

How you view this facility depends on how interested you are in rowing and other competitive flat-water paddle sports. Watching rowing there is great. The course itself is world class (obviously, as it was an Olympic facility). It is really easy to spectate, and if you're one of those people who likes to ride a bicycle to watch a whole race, the place is made for you. There are sealed tracks on both sides from start to finish.
The facility is also well set up for competitors, with a practice lake (including the launching pontoons next to the boat shed) connected to the race course by two cuts near the finish and start.
If you're going there just to walk or run around the lakes on a non-racing day, you may not think it's worth the admission cost--especially if you'd be paying tolls to get to Penrith in the first place.

$140 for the privilege of watching your child row. Seriously rowing aust????
With all the costs to have children rowing I don’t think charging family and friends to watch their children compete is a way of encouraging people into the sport

18 years after the Olympics in Sydney and this place is still great. Wonderful legacy to sydney. Well designed, great parking, well organised regatta, good set up for rowers and spectators.

Vast place with beautiful gardens and lovely lakes.. great place for picnic and for kids to run about.. The path around the lake is completely even and flat. So walking or running or cycling is easy. Well mantained and clean area.. But it's difficult to reach by public transport. So better to drive in your car or take a taxi. Plenty of parking is available.. go at sunrise or sunset for awesome views..

Nice place to visit for an evening stroll around the 5km track, good in the afternoons as well, you can walk or bike and on a cosy day it is great, many families with BBQ areas and public toilets. Was an Olympics even and excellent place for families

Great for photos for sunrise and sunset with the lakes. So if you're ever in the area pop in for a visit
