About
iFLY Downunder is an Australian first - one of the world's largest Indoor Skydiving facilities is open in Sydney! Suspended on a column of air, anyone from the age of 3 to 103 can now experience human flight in our indoor skydiving simulator. Every indoor skydiving flight experience is the equivalent to the free fall of outdoor skydiving from 14,000 feet! For 50 seconds you will be flying in the air and experience what free falling skydiving is really like! However, without the worry about the weather, lengthy delays, travel time or having to actually jump out of a plane! FREE Viewing Gallery - visitors welcome.

A bit on the expensive side, but an excellent experience as a treat for the adventurous. Very capable instructors, efficient and well run.

Lots of fun. Staff did a brilliant job making this an enjoyable experience to the point I returned to learn some more skills.

Be aware this is not a walk in walk out activity. Ifly take the sport of skydiving seriously. This is a training venue, not an amusement ride, and you can have as much, if not more fun.

They take safety seriously so it will take you awhile for what on paper seems like a short time. When your in there especially your second jump where your over your initial nerves it lasts a long time.

You will either love this experience or it will unfortunately be a miss. And you won't really know until you try.

Being in the tunnel is not overly strenuous and at the same time you won't be completely relaxed. You need to hold certain body positions and after several jumps in a row you will fell it.

Staff are super friendly and can be a little to laid back for some people. They are very knowledgeable and very helpful. Lots of passion for the sport, and both times I have attended this location there have been plenty of other flyers passionate about the sport there working on their skills and happy for a chat.

You need to allocate 1.5 hrs to complete this activity. 1 hr in preparation and then your 0.5hr session. Basically the same as an aeroplane based jump, and you get alot more free fall style flying.

For all my flights I was in the tunnel at least 90 seconds. Doesn't sound like alot. It's much more time than free fall time in a normal sky dive, 60 seconds is close to the limit for dive from 15000ft. If you do a few jumps you will notice some sore muscles.

For free fall style flying you can't go past ifly for the experience and value for money. If you just want the parachute ride then maybe not.

Ifly downunder is in the Penrith entertainment zone, making if brilliant if some of your party doesn't want to fly, plenty of other activities and other options close by.

If your afraid of heights don't let this worry you. You need to keep looking straight ahead so you never see what's below you. And they control the air flow so you are close to the net, so you are super safe.

This is something experiencing at least once.

Great family fun ! From 4 years to over 50 , everyone had a great time. Staff were amazing and supportive of the younger ones who were initially abit hesitant -but the 4 year old loved it. Highly recommended

My friend and colleague went together spontaneously one afternoon - the experience completely surpassed our expectations, it was truly incredible. Something I will definitely be doing again and again in the future; I have already booked a return session.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the venue was clean and equipment well maintained.

Would definitely recommend

We took my 12 year old to Ifly Penrith as a reward for doing so well in his first year of High School. He was so excited about going and he wasn't disappointed.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. As soon as we entered the building we were greeted by a staff member who also happened to be walking up the stairs. He asked us if we were there for a special treat and told us where we needed to go. The staff at check in were really friendly and ensured all of our paperwork was complete.

Half an hour before our session was due to start we were ushered into a room. Here his instructor, Elise, gave a briefing and had the group kitted out in their safety gear. Next they went to sit and wait their turn next to the wind tunnel.

I booked my son 2 double turns and a High Fly. Elise was fabulous. She took him in the wind tunnel and gave him all the hand signals she had explained in the briefing in order to get his body in the correct position. She took him right to the top of the wind tunnel for his High Fly experience which he loved. He came out all smiles. He had so much fun that at the end of the session I asked Elise if there was time for him to have another High Fly. She agreed, he was thrilled and I happily paid another $15.

I also pre booked the Media Package, so for an extra $25 I got a video of his experience and 11 photos - they were much better than the photos I took and well worth the money.

My son also received a little certificate.

COVID: We had to "check in" on arrival and the participant waiting area and door way to the wind tunnel were all sanitized between groups. Spectators kept their distance from each other and there were no crowds. It was really well managed and I wasn't concerned at all.

Would we go again? Definitely! Is it expensive? Yes, which is why it was a special treat. Was it too expensive? No. It's a great experience and not something you can get anywhere else unless you want to jump out of a plane. Go and have some fun!

Insane! SO much fun for my partner and I. Great staff and awesome experience. You just want to stay in there.

Luckily we could get extra rides straight after our first two.

Highly recommend getting at least two rides!

I got this as a gift from family. Took me nearly three years and covid to use it.
Firstly I’d recommend going mid week rather than weekends ..
my email wrongly informed of the time but luckily the original girl I spoke to told me the time so I wasn’t too much early.
Being only 3 in my group, it was quick.
3 minute video,
Short instructions,
Suited up
Then in the waiting tunnel.

It’s fun but harder than it looks.
I had a great instructor ( Kyle I think- he can do amazing stuff in there , flying on his own)

I had2 x double turns and one double fly up.
My shoulders were abit sore and upper legs , but nothing enough not to do it again

It’s exhilarating..
Just do it.
Lovely staff.

Me and my friends bought few tickets (valid before 2020) early this year, because of pandemic, IFLY closed temporarily. Now I want to use my tickets but IFLY staff told me the tickets was expired!!!! They break their promise and don't bother to make any compensation at all! So basically I spent hundreds of dollars and get nothing from IFLY!! I'll never recommend this to my friends anymore!

Imagine being put in a hair dryer for giants, minus the heat. Plus you're wearing a suit and helmet. Felt like flying without the stomach drop, or the need to change underwear from the heights. Was a great experience, will be back at some stage. Ppl are whinging about the price. Small island countries would use less energy than it takes to power the fan, so come on. Jimmy was a legend. Whatever he's getting, double it.
