As part of a tour to the Blue Mountains, we stopped at Featherdale. This was the HIGHLIGHT of our tour. We loved it here. I am always a bit hesitant with zoos, etc, because I worry about the animals. At Featherdale I did not have this thought once. The place was clean! The employees seemed happy and that they enjoyed... More

Went to featherdale and taronga zoo. I would still prefer featherdale as the animals are much closer and interactive as compared to taronga. I do recommend to take a picture with the koala and feed some wallaby. Feed some goats too at the open farm. I do recommend wearing a shoe that you would like to throw away. Overall it... More

A very extensive wildlife collection with a friendly feeling. Staff are passionate about their wildlife and the enclosures are extremely well maintained. A wide range of Australian wildlife with a few exotic animals as well. Suitable for all ages and families will especially enjoy the experience.

This was a pretty last-minute addition to our plans -and SO glad we did! It was a great way to learn about Australian Wildlife -with quite a broad assortment of animals, and a very knowledgeable and friendly staff.

We had the pleasure to visit this park as our first day of Sydney. It's not nearby the train station so the easiest way to get there by public transport is to ride on the bus 729 and drop when you hit the big postage. As you may know we are not allowed to touch koalas in NSW... except in... More

Hi Antony, Thank you for a great score! Featherdale makes a very handy pit stop on the way to the Blue Mountains, but it can be quite a long day via public transport! Featherdale Wildlife Park has a nice area to pat the animals and you can buy food for the kangaroos for $2 (bring your coins as food is purchased after entering). Their eagles are very impressive and are very big. The Fairy Penguins are the cutest things you've ever seen. If you'd like to pat a koala and have your photo... More

After much deliberation, we decided to go to featherdale and we were happy we did. We heard the Torongo Zoo was really good but all of us were more interested in seeing animals specific to Australia. It is a very low key family friendly place. All the animals seemed fairly content and the staff were great. Had a great vibe... More
