(From Maui to Kilaeua Volcano) Capt. Bill was great and we even saw lava!!

Our chances of seeing the lava and the volcano were slim to none on our flight out that day...due to the "Vog" (fog and volcano activing with lack of wind). That wasn't evident... read more

It is something to see. It was 85 down by the ocean and when we went up there the temp was 55. Take a sweater if you plan to head up there.

We took this tour and we're pleased to sit on comfortable wide seats. We started at West Maui airport and had headsets to hear the pilot talk about what we were seeing. The tour route was as follows: north Maui, Pa'ia, Hana, cross the channel to Hawaii, east side waterfalls, eucalyptus forests, Hilo, lava flows, right over the volcano, west... More

We were staying on Maui and took the Royal Pacific Air tour which took us over to the Big Island. So we got to see another island and the activity at Kilauea. It was a nice 2+ hours tour. Beautiful to see the islands from the air! Really enjoyed it! Note of caution: if you suffer from motion sickness, be... More

We one the volcano tour with Royal Pacific. Captain Bill was awesome, we got views on both sides of the plane and we able to see the red glow. We love the trip and the plane was nice and comfortable. We call to arrange with Miki and she was so fantastic to deal with. I highly recommend this tour.

Flight was supposed to pick us up at Kapalua- West Maui Airport. 15 minutes before arrival time they contacted us and cancelled the flight telling us there were maintainence problems. Another couple waiting said they were there because the day before their flight was cancelled because the pilot as sick. So they got cancelled again. Company seems unreliable; something you... More

Trip was canceled on the first week due to technical difficulty of the plane (which leads us to believe there might be something wrong with the plane for our trip) and was rescheduled to the last day of our vacation. Which was really inconvenient for us. On the date of the tour the pilot was 20minutes late for the check... More

Bill, the captain looked after us well and made sure everyone had a good view of all the sights to be seen on the way to Hawaii (Big Island). The weather on the day was pretty good and we circled a few times around Pu'u'O'o, an active volcano and saw the lava flowing red hot! Unfortunately it was a bit... More

Big Island volcano tour, departed Kapalua West Maui airport. Captain was great and informative. Flight was on time. Made sure everyone got an opportunity to see the sights. Flight was great. Yes it was a little bumpy. That's to be expected. Small aircraft, slightly gusty winds, updrafts from the volcano....it will be a bit bumpy. The aircraft is very reliable... More

Very hard to sum up how amazing this trip was. Thought about doing and then decided against and did at last minute and every second was amazing. Captain Bill is not only a great pilot but he gives a great tour and is very easy going. He did everything to make you comfortable and dipped the wings so you could... More

Our chances of seeing the lava and the volcano were slim to none on our flight out that day...due to the "Vog" (fog and volcano activing with lack of wind). That wasn't evident when we took off, but the news had talked about the situation. We chose Volcano Air Tours because it was the only way to reasonably tour the... More
