My wife and I were in Maui for a week celebrating our anniversary. First time to Hawaii, much less Maui. I'm an avid water skier/wake surfer from DC area. When I found Wake Maui online, I to check them out. The outing was great. I surfed for about 45 minutes. Then Ryan took us over to a great place to do some snorkeling. We swam with turtles and fish for about a half an hour - which we both loved. Then I surfed for another half hour or so. It was awesome. So amazing to surf in such clear water with the amazing backdrop of the Hawaiian mountains in the background! When I dropped off I could see the bottom at 40' depth. It was incredible. Captain Ryan is great. Good natured. Fun. Knowledgeable about the island. My wife enjoyed chatting with him while I was out surfing the wake. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. (And by the way, I went kiteboarding and surfing while I was there too. This was a MUCH better couples activity, because she was right there with me in the boat the whole time.)

We booked a "Family Adventure" outing with Captain Ryan during our week long cruise on the NCL Pride of America, and this was the absolute HIGHLIGHT of our entire family holiday in Hawaii. We have 3 children - ages 8, 13, and 16. None of us are experienced swimmers, and had never done any type of water activities like wakeboarding, water -tubing, or snorkeling. Captain Ryan is just awesome! He was kind, and so patient, fantastic with helping kids/teens have a fun, safe adventure. He put us all at ease. He brought along refreshments, (water, soda, etc.) It was a very windy day, but Ryan took extra time and care to take us to an area where the wind was minimal, so that we could fully enjoy our time out on the boat. If you plan to be in Maui, YOU HAVE TO BOOK YOUR OWN EXCURSION with Wake Maui. It was a priceless, unforgettable time, which allowed us to fully experience the clear water, and beautiful coastal areas near Ka'anapali. Also was our first time ever snorkeling - which was lovely! Our kids are begging us to return again soon.

Totally worth every penny! We visited Maui without having any plans because our schedule kept changing. When we got to the island, I started looking into private guided snorkeling tours since we are celebrating my boyfriend's bday. I can't swim but I wanted him to have a great time so I ran into Captain Woody's site. I called and he was fully booked but he recommended Captain Ryan. I got all the info and booked through Wakemaui site and texted Captain Ryan as well. He is very responsive! And was able to accommodate us the next day! Finding him on the day of was easy. He took us to Mala Wharf 1st. I was really scared because I've never snorkeled without holding on to a rope or something since I can't swim but Captain Ryan made me feel so safe! I was able to snorkel around and see some turtles and lots of fishes! He then took us off the coast of the Westin and got to see some natural coral reefs. After that, he took us to a spot where we saw school of dolphins! It was amazing!! I can't thank Captain Ryan enough in making this the best trip of my life! I can't wait to go back and book with him again! I totally recommend. Don't think twice, don't hesitate. Totally worth it!!! Thank you again Captain Ryan,

We went wake boarding, wake skiing, and inner tubing. Captain Ryan was so patient, nice, and helpful. Every time we fell, he would instruct us on how to improve. I would HIGHLY recommend Wake Maui!

We had the best time with Captain Ryan on his boat. We went water skiing, wake boarding and he taught us all how to wake ski. He was so patient and so much fun. We also did a little bit of snorkeling and listen to the whales. We will definitely call Captain Ryan again when we come back!
