The most amazing chartered trip to Cuelbrita

Captain Dave was great! He answered right away and answered all my questions. I am glad I made the reservations early since he turned down two other groups because we had already booked.

The day before our trip, he got in touch with me, gave me the GPS pin, and told us he had everything we needed, including veggie burgers since I don't eat meat.

We met him at the dock, he was all set, and we left right away. His English and Spanish were great. He docked near a beautiful snorkeling spot on the south side of the island. We were close to the path to hike up to the lighthouse, which was an easy hike but, just as he said, had beautiful panoramic views.

I had wanted to snorkel with the turtles, and even the seas were choppy, he took us to the north side. There were a few loud catamarans docked from the mainland but he knew how to direct us to the best place to see the turtles, reefs and the most interesting, and a wide variety of tropical fish.

Capt Dave had better equipment than we had. With his equipment and advice, we had an incredible day, and I saw a huge sea turtle, many smaller sea turtles, giant fish, and schools of colorful and diverse fish. We returned to the boat for a fantastic lunch prepared by Dave. The return to the boat dock was equally beautiful and quick.

My only regret was that we weren't on Culebra longer so we could charter Capt Dave to other great snorkeling spots. We plan to return and charter again.

Great time with Capt. Dave

We booked Captain Dave for our trip to Culebrita, and was it ever fantastic! The whole trip was taken at our pace, and he waited around for us while we snorkeled, wave boarded, hiked, and swam at our leisure. Never felt rushed, yet we accomplished everything we wanted to accomplish. There was a slight extra cost to take us to an additional snorkeling location, and I have to say that it was well worth it. Lunch that he fixed while we lounged on Playa Tortuga hit the spot.

Culebrita boat tour

Captain Dave took us to Culebrita island today. The trip was awesome. He was super attentive to everyone’s wishes and made it happen. Some wanted hiking, some wanted snorkeling, the rest wanted beach time. Captain Dave knew just the spot. His knowledge and experience of the area was a great asset for us. Dave ensures the passenger comfort as you traverse open seas which on this day weren’t too rough but not calm either. A great captain ensures each passenger has the best trip possible...Captain Dave of Culebra Bluewater Charters is a great captain. Nice boat too!

Best charter I've ever been on!

First let me say this. David is a very experienced and professional captain. He was very knowledgeable about all of the small islands you may see on the tour, and also all the marine life that you will come across. We started out fishing. Within 1 minute "literally" we caught a mackerel. We ended up catching a few more on the trip while also sight seeing, and David giving us info on the surrounding views all the while. Next we went culebrita. This is the most beautiful beach we have ever been to. Once there we snorkled, hiked around and played on the beach. I cant say it enough how great of a charter this was and how great captain David was. Thanks again David! Also if you need gear for your own excursion he owns a shop right across from the ferry that sells

Visit to Paradise

We had an amazing charter to Culebrita, a remote island off Culebra, this week! It was spectacular! A piece of paradise for sure. Captain David and his beautiful wife Olga shared snorkeling spots, tidal pools, and even a paddle board off the beautiful Playa Tortuga! They made a delicious lunch for us of pinchos. We highly recommend this excursion on your next visit to this spectacular island, don’t miss out on this very special adventure!

Family friendly fun!

We had fun with Captain Dave! He heard us talking about wanting to see a shark so he took us to see one! Culebrita beach was beautiful. The best part was that he is children friendly so our 1 1/2 year old was able to participate and have a great time swimming. Good vibe and a good time.

Best “Tour” Ever!

Captian Dave is simply the best! We packed our five kids onto his boat and just had the best day…snorkeling, hiking, and fishing. The beach on Culibrita is the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen. The lunch he made us was delicious and everything was spot on. If you book one tour in all of Puerto Rico, make it this one. It’s a totally legit way to see the islands.

Best day in Culebra

We did a half day fishing, half day snorkeling. He put us on some fush then took us to an island for snorkeling. We encountered sea turtles. Coral reefs, sting rays, and huge tarpon. Captain Dave is super professional. Our best day in Culebra was with Captain Dave.

Day trip to Culebrita

Captain Dave’s tour to Culebrita was just perfect. He is knowledgeable and helpful about beaches and snorkeling. He delivered exactly what we needed—a smooth ride, beautiful beaches, chairs and water. We hope to go on another tour with him.

Day trip culabrita

Don't expect much more then a boat ride out to the island. No one ever introduced themselves or gave us any info other then a vague the " reef is over there" " the lighthouse is there" and only when we asked about tide pools they motioned I the general direction. We took a long HARD walk there couldn't see much and after we got back the " guy" whose name I never found out said , " oh you should have taken your snorkel mask! Nice if he would have said???? Poor!!!! Poor !!! Poor!!!

Sorry for your bad 'Day Trip Culebrita, but i think you weren't on my boat, my name is capt Dave and the first thing i do when i get to Culebrita is give DETAIL explanation on where to go snorkeling and how to get to the lighthouse and the tidal pools.. my boat is the one with the twin engines (are you sure you were on my boat) maybe i found you another captain because my boat was full, and if thats the case am very sorry the captain didn't meet your needs...
