We explored Tamarindo Beach...not too far from Flamenco... And found it to be a great snorkel spot as many reviews have shared. There was a beautiful coral reef right off the shore....very easy to access. The water was calm and clear. I was able to...More

While snorkeling, my husband and teen sons saw sea turtles, rays and amazingly colorful fish. They had to swim through a bit of jellyfish on the way back which was a bit harrowing but so worth it. Once in a lifetime experience! This beach is...More

This is a wonderful beach for snorkeling. Vans are parked from 8 until 2 or 3 with gear to rent. Just follow the signs and you'll arrive at an underwater paradise.

We love to snorkel and this beach is a gem. Enter the beach far to the left. Make sure to wear water shoes for the rocky terrain. We saw beautiful tropicals, a juvenile reef shark and sea turtles! It was amazing!

Rented a Jeep for a day and this was our first stop. Spent about two hours here snorkeling, and it was well worth it. Saw a lot of coral and fish, a small shark, a stingray, and four Green sea turtles. Best individual snorkeling experience...More

This one is a bit rocky, but offers stunning snorkeling sites. Just be respectful of any sea turtles as they can get stressed by snorkelers getting too close or blocking their way to the surface.

Bring your own mask and check this out - the reefs are close to the shore and lots of fish - we didn't see turtles but heard this is a great place to see them. I actually preferred this beach over Flamenco. Tip: Bring water...More

We came to this beach on a kayaking/snorkeling trip. The beach was rocky, so wear water shoes. There is a reef off of this beach where we saw some but not loads of fish. We did see a sting ray and a sea turtle while...More
