The hike to the waterfall is nice and easy. The water was cool, clean, and the guides that took us to the falls were pleasant and efficient in getting us down the rock wall to swim. Jump off the rocks, you won't be disappointed!

It was a great experience; would do it again.... Didn't really like the road to get there, I would suggest to wear sneaker to get there.

Very beautiful place to visit. However you will have to walk through a mango grove, climb down a rock using a piece of cord and hop over rocks in the water to reach the water fall. But this is worth it!!. the waterfall is amazing and wonderful. You will have to wear boots or sneakers to walk through the mango... More

I was disappointed with the effort required to see the waterfalls. It is beautiful of course but the trek is rough. One must be prepared with proper hiking shoes and a lot of fortitude to get to the site of the waterfalls. The terrain is not smooth. I found it to be a bit dangerous. Please note: there aren't any... More

You must must must go to Bassin Bleu if you go to Haiti. It was one of the highlights of all my international travels. Essentially you get a motorbike or a car and head outside Jacmel up a large hill and then walk for perhaps 20 mins into the jungly wilds (very safe and not too strenuous, but climbing is... More

Our group travelled to Jacmel specifically to see the wateralls and we weren't disappointed. When you arrive, you will be forced to have a guide who will help you on the trip to the waterfall - get one who speaks good English and he will be all you need. The top basin is breathtaking - clear water and a nice... More

What an amazing experience. It was quite a hike to get to Bassin Bleu (we saw 2 smaller Bassin's prior) and we ran into two guys selling coconuts and the most delicious fresh roasted breadfruit that gave me life!!! Bassin Bleu was beautiful.

Basin Bleu is an absolutely magical place. It was a difficult drive, but worth it. Once entering the park, a guide will take you in and around the falls. Ours took pictures of us and enjoyed a beer with us afterwards. If you are in Jacmel, Basin Blue is a must. I have never seen anything like it in my... More
