This is our favourite local park. We visit frequently. The lake is beautiful and the kids love the ducks. Overall a nice walk for both grown ups and kids.

This park is superb. It has a scenic route for walks and beautiful spots to have a picnic. The pond is amazing and provided good entertainment when watching the ducks. Also there is a restaurant on the park grounds. The parking facilities are good and near the park. You can park for 3 hours for free. This park is perfect for families, couples and solo visits. There is a play area, benches and places for you to do some fishing.

A beautiful park to visit, walk around and relax in and the restoration work over recent years and added pathways etc have restored it to its former glory and the lake is stunning. Having a restaurant at one end and a nice cafe/kiosk at the other end also enhance the experience. It would be nice to see the lovely bandstand utilised more. For example I've often heard people say it would be nice if the Salvation Army band played there occasionally especially at weekends.
