Great fun if you love baking!
Had a great time on the French Patisserie course. Sarah is very knowledgeable and able to educate and demonstrate very well. We were kept busy all day with hands on things to do. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the day to make it run smoothly. It was great for me. I learnt a lot.

    Great cooking experience
We really enjoyed this Gastro cooking class. The cookery school is a great set up and is extremely well organised. Sarah certainly knows her stuff and is very entertaining. The food we cooked was delicious and we certainly learnt lots of new recipes and tips to take back to our home kitchen. A big thank you also to your two members of staff who worked so hard waiting on us and clearing up. Will definitely recommend and would return for another cookery class. Thank you

Fantastic experience for the family, recommend fully
Absolutely superb activity. Bought for my wife and oldest son (12). They had a fantastic time and came home with some lovely food. Seemed pricey when I paid for it, but feel it was completely justified following experience. We are hoping to go back!

I was bought the 'How to cook the perfect steak' course as a present and it was a massive disappointment. 90 minutes into a 2 hour course and we still hadn't had chance to cook any steak! Most time was spent being shown and practicing how to chop vegetables and make sauces. There is pretty much no practical element to this in terms of cooking steak. Just a brief education in the different cuts of meat and then a demonstration in cooking them. I did engage with the school afterwards to express my disappointment however they refused to accept I had any grounds for complaint and when I asked for my money back they ceased communications.

The kitchen is right behind the Porsche garage, tucked away on the estate. Great set up of tables laid out which reminded me of the Great British Bake Off. The other customers were all new to the experience and so the kitchen had a bit of a quiet tension as all the strangers waited to see what the form was.
The evening was led by the chef who took us through a series of mini-demonstrations and then we cooked a bit before she showed us more. The hints and tips were very useful and she was clearly very competent. Gradually the group began to chat a little and the atmosphere improved but a bit of music in the background or some conversation starters early on would help with the 'team build'.
By the end of the evening we all sat down to eat what we had cooked and it was very tasty. For those that were in a hurry there was the option to take a doggy bag. Plus there was a helping hand for chef so no washing up afterwards.

The team here are brilliant and every time I come here, I cant wait to come back! How they manage to get kids to do the standard of cooking they do in 2 hours is absolutely amazing and these ladies have total control of the room!
Seriously cant recommend this place enough - loved by kids and adults alike!

Got a class here for my birthday, and absolutely loved it! Made many cake dishes, and then pizza for lunch. The people who work there are very kind, and teach loads of new things. Loved it so much my mum and dad booked a class!

Such a great evening with Chef Sarah and her assistant Jackie. Learnt some good recipes, hints and tips in a sociable, friendly environment and then all dined together around the communal table, tucking into our creations. Highly recommend WK. A memorable, fun time had by all. Super atmosphere and Sarah and Jackie couldn't be more accommodating....Thank You. We'll be back!

If you struggle with pastry like me then this course is just for you. I went with a friend and we had a wonderful day guided by Sarah through different pastry making skills and picking up lots of new, useful knowledge along the way. The whole atmosphere was enjoyable and relaxed.
They do lots of different courses so something for everyone, even the kids. I'll definitely be back - it's just so hard picking which course to do next!
Thanks for a terrific day!

Having just returned from one of Sarah’s Middle Eastern classes, I can’t rate this highly enough. Sarah runs a really interesting class where she teaches numerous cooking techniques and best practices whilst answering questions and tailoring the content to meet the needs of the audience. Whilst the class cuts out some of the more complicated techniques like boning a lamb leg, doing this saves lots of time from the class which can be better spent on making the sauces and accompaniments instead. Having read other reviews I came across Mark T’s which, whilst making a valid point about cooking steak, it’s beyond me why he was surprised that the class included a significant amount of live demonstration and making accompaniments, as this is what allows the class to cover lots of ground in a short space of time. Toward the end of the class, all students retire to a back room to taste the delicious food and have drinks. I’d definitely recommend the classes.
