About Knepp Wildland Safaris
Knepp - one of the largest re-wilding projects in lowland Europe. Encounter herds of wild ponies, cattle, deer and pigs as they roam 3,500 acres of Sussex, driving the forces of habitat regeneration. Join us on one of our vehicle-based safaris or guided walking tours and experience our profusion of birds, mammals, butterflies, beetles, reptiles, plants and fungi in a setting that feels as wild and dynamic as the African bush. Stay in one of our beautiful shepherd's huts or luxurious tents, or simply pitch your own in our exclusive Wildland campsite. You don't have to take one of our safaris to stay here, and you don't have to stay here to take a safari - though naturally we hope you'll be tempted to combine the two.

What an incredible place - met by our friendly and knowledgeable guide Paul who took our group on a dusk drive around part of the estate. Saw deer, rabbits, storks, owls and then the highlight - tracking bats using detectors and torches across a pond...More

We had a great afternoon being taken around the Knepp Estate. We were taken to a range of habitats to see what had moved in, and how those plants and animals change the habitat interactively, and interdependently. Our guide is a zoologist and researcher who...More

I thoroughly enjoyed the safari. Tom, the guide, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We came close to Longhorn Cattle, the massive bull eyeing us up from very near by. We had entertaining views of the storks and heard their bills clacking. A barn owl swooped...More

We saw longhorn, fallow deer, Tamworth pigs rootling, birds of prey, grass snakes, slow worms, storks, a kingfisher and many now-returned insects. 3 hours travelling and dismounting to explore this wonderful...More

This two hour experience was really thrilling...we had waited some months having booked in 2018 and were excited to be at Knepp to see the inspirational transformation of the farm. We would highly recommend the marked walking trails too. Thank you Tegan!

Our guide was fantastically knowledgeable. She is a project officer working with the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust and looks after the storks at Knepp. Her breadth of knowledge about the animals and about the process of wilding the estate made our safari fascinating. We saw...More

Having spent most of my life as a wildlife guide (largely in the north) it was very interesting to see how Knepp has developed. There are a great many very good RSPB and other reserves in the country but they all have objectives and are...More

I visited Knepp with my Mum and fell in love with it. We were greeted by a stork walking nonchalantly in the road. We followed the map and sign posts on foot, exploring the estate. We saw exmore ponies, longhorn cattle, fallow deer. The estate...More

Wonderful dusk exploration in the Southern block of Knepp, with an interesting knowledgeable guide. Beautiful sight of storks in treetops, from one of the viewing platforms. After climbing aboard the safari vehicle, encounters also with Tamworth pigs and their piglets, roaming and playing "hide and...More
