The church was closed, but it was lovely walking around looking at some of the gravestones. The views were lovely over London and the Chilterns too.

Always a pleasure to visit... The site of the Church is very old (over 900 years) although the current building is mainly Victorian. The main highlight for me is the view at the back of the churchyard over looking away from London. I have seen Windsor Castle on a clear day! Behind the viewpoint is the memorial to Lord Byron, the poet who was a student at Harrow School. On the way back look out for the stone at the church doorway commemorating Byron's young daughter Allegra who is buried the churchyard here. There's not much for tourists in Harrow...this is a key bit of heritage!!…

I can highly recommend La Colina on Harrow on the Hill. Excellent food at a very reasonable price. I have been going there for years and it never fails to be good. The service is excellent and very friendly.

St Mary's Church is a very beautiful church situated on the top of the hill at Harrow on the Hill. You can see where Lord Byron wrote some of his lines...
