This interesting church building, which was constructed in a Georgian style -- being part-funded by the Commission for Building Fifty New Churches -- and was completed in 1731. It's the highlight of the whole town.

Well known church to the south of Gravesend town centre, close to the River Thames. Made famous as the burial site of Princess Pochohontas and now the site of her statue. Pretty church inside and out.

The vicar had a sense of humour at a christening we went to so this was lovely, it was not boring and he added fun to the ceremony. Lovely flowers and stunning inside this church. Would be lovely on a spring day in the sunshine.

The present church dates from 1732; 'Princess Pocahontas', who died in Gravesend and was buried in the previous building, is commemorated in the church and also with a fine statue in the grounds. Also commemorated in this church is General 'Chinese' Gordon who was a...More
