Delightful historic riverside pub, well worth a visit
Aug 2020
Had lunch with a friend at this historic pub by the river in Gravesend. Fully compliant Covid-19 precautions, indoor and outdoor space, good locally sourced food, well stocked bar, friendly and exceptionally hard working staff. We had a lovely time and will go back again. Thoroughly recommended.

service and welcome
Jul 2020
we haven't been out much since Covid, we nervously went into the bar, we didn't have to worry there were plenty of hand sanitizers, in fact we were asked if we had used it, and social distancing was very evident, we were shown to a table and our drinks order taken, we felt so comfortable and safe we decided to have dinner, which was lovely, so thank you Danny and the team

Can not say how much I love this pub. From the staff all the way to the food and drinks. Definitely one to visit if you are in town.

Twice in one week and we live 50 miles away - says a lot for the other pubs between thanet and gravesham, nice pub grub & service, plenty of parking nearby and views over the river form the beer terrace.. alas we cannot go for a few weekends now as the M" is shut for resurfacing

Best day ever!

Today I was catching up with 2 people I hadn’t seen for so long I am not sure how long but but certainly 18+ years. How the we let time drift us apart!
I got the ferry over from Tilbury to Gravesend and it was so easy to meet in the “Three Daws” as I live in Essex and they in Kent.
My husband told me what a lovely pub it was and it didn’t disappoint, the views were good although we spent so long catching up as there were 4 of us with our stories of where life had took us. We ate there too and the food was awesome we had nut loaf, omelette, and vegan chilli and not one of us was a vegetarian or vegan but how wonderful to have such choice. Me and Jane had the chilli which was scrummy and very tomatoey I would definitely have it again.
The pub had a nice relaxed feel to it and was quiet by the time we left but we had been there 3+ hours talking non stop.
You can sit outside which is nice on a hot day watching the boats go by.

A nice place to drink!
Feb 2019 • Family
Went here as a 3, on a Tuesday night for some food. A quaint little place. Great selection of beers and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
Ordered burgers, but they were pretty average, not inedible.
The dessert menu however, was GREAT, and all 3 desserts were fantastically presented and very nice!
Would definitely return if I were just drinking.

Nice pub.

This pub is a nice historical pub, with friendly people. The staff however could be a bit friendlier. Ok-ish range of beverages.

We held a charity in the function room downstairs catering for approx160 people between 4 pm & 1am. Notwithstanding the staff assisted in every way leading up tot he event including helping me choose what beers to have on & the best position for out disco equipment. ON the Day/night the bar staff were excellent , attentive & joined in with the spirit of the event. We are in the process of booking for next year.

Best bar staff, bar none!
Sep 2018 • Friends
If Carling made bar staff....Those guys should run a training school... :-) I was at an event held at the Three Daws recently which was really well attended. I assumed that we'd have to wait for ages to be served, due to the number of people and as the bar space is fairly compact. But, I assumed wrongly - the guys kept an eye on who was next in line to be served and totally made sure everyone was kept happy and were polite and smiling. I'll definitely make another trip to the Three Daws next time I'm in Gravesend.

Burger lunch

Great burger lunch. I had the pork belly burger. My girlfriend had the brie burger. Value for money and a fantastic views of the Thames from the garden. Can't wait for the winter menu....
