Lovely but too much golf and too little rubbish bins
Apr 2021 • Solo
The park is lovely, safe and quiet, full of beautiful ducks and swans.
Unfortunately, all the high part is a private golf club. The first time I saw the green amazing hill, I thought it was part of the park and immediately fancied to go there. Then I discovered that the only thing you can do is a walk through an often muddy track between the private golf fields 😯
Another less pleasant aspect is that sometimes the rubbish collection is poor, so the bins are full and the wind blows the rubbish all around

Perfect picnic spot
Aug 2019
I love this park. We came here for a picnic over the bank holiday and it was awesome- so much room. Even with loads of people, it never felt crowded.

Awful cafe
Aug 2019 • Family
No ordering system, they just collect your cash and make you wait without any indication of how long your food is going to be. None of the meals on offer are exactly gourmet (despite the prices) yet at least three people including myself were waiting nearly 30 mins for sandwich’s or omelettes. One lady serving the till and one bloke ‘cooking’ despite the high numbers of people during school holidays. Ended up asking for money back as I couldn’t wait any longer. Tried to comfort my two year old with an ice lolly however they were all just mush from defrosting and freezing repeatedly.....hungry and annoyed! Avoid if possible until they get the staffing levels or speed up their service!

Greatly improved with new wetlands area
Aug 2019
Had not visited for a while and were pleasantly surprised by the great improvements that have been made, with nice play areas, wetlands features, etc. Will certainly visit again.

Nice Park dreadful cafe

This is a really great Park. I look after my granddaughteronce a week and there is plenty to do. In the summer there are water sprinklers for children to play in. There are 2 playgrounds for different ages.
Sadly the cage is lacking. Last week I went with my gd aged 2.5 as there is sift play. There was next to nothing available eat as they said they were doing a deep clean. The loos were out of order. So, this week we ate first. Soft play is £4 but if your toddler has a dirty nappy and the toilet is closed you have to go to the public one in the park. She is too big for the bench in there so we had to resort to the grass.

Ideal for all. Went with partner for an early evening walk when the heat abated a little. Started by the river at gentleman's walk and ambled along till we got to the top entrance. Past the basketball courts where a small crowd were watching what appeared to be a tournament. Headed towards the children's play area and past the cafe which has recently been refurbished. Looks good and there is a selection of food available but we only had a drink so cannot comment on the food. Looked well presented though. The town park also holds events through the year which I believe are advertised on the council website. All in all a good way to while away a few hours for little cost.

Nice park but new cafe is disappointing.

Was looking forward to the new cafe in enfield town park after it was taken over from a very nice friendly lady who retired, Unfortunately, on more than one occasion, i found the service to be impersonal and rude and the coffee to be awful! Recently I Popped in on a quiet week day and asked if there was a bowl of water for my dog outside - I got a grumpy "no" from the bloke behind the counter as he turned Away (it's a popular dog walking park - put an bowl of water out for the dogs for goodness sake!). Made the mistake of asking for a coffee then - it was literally undrinkable. I left it on the table after one sip. Four Enfield parks have exactly the same set up now (same owner I think). Flash video screen, rude impersonal service and poor coffee. Ah well - maybe I'll start going to Barnet or Haringey parks more instead!

Went to this park when the Balloon festival on. It cost £6.00 and was not worth it. No consetions for oap's and had to pay for things once you got in. The dog show and birds of prey were cancelled and the balloons did not fly. A few days later went to this park with the grandchildren and it was great. Grandkids played in the water park and then in the other parks with swings slide etc.

Park is perfect but not cafe
May 2018 • Family
Enfield town park is nice place for day out. Gated play area. Toilets next to that. Beautiful greenery. Definitely recommend.
But cafe next to playground is too pricey. £2.50 for one scoop of ice cream is well above average price .

Expansive parkland.

Plenty of open space for activities for all ages. There are facilties for young children in the play area, tennis courts and a five-a-side/basketball cage as well as fixed table tennis tables. A pavilion is present advertising drinks and snacks but seems to be permanently being redeveloped although yet to see it open. An environmental programme has seen the development of a small wetland feeding the boating ponds. Plenty of wildlife, particularly birds, can be seen when walking the periphery of the park.
