People moaning about the theatre, it's Cannock not Birmingham and as for being overpriced I'm pretty sure that Birmingham would beat us hands down there too! This is a part of Cannock maybe could do with some updates but my daughter's have their dance show here every year, I always help out back stage one night and then watch the show the next, never had an issue with seating, bar is easily accessible,it is what it is. It has character and is a big part of Cannock, you see it as you drive past it's kind of iconic in cannock. So let's support our local theatre and entertainment 👍

Visited here for this years Pantomime, whilst it was good I do think that it needs either a change of cast or a change of Pantomime. Definitely needs some new jokes and it’s getting to be very same old several years running.
Booking tickets is now a nightmare since they have changed to skiddle.com. Not the easiest site to navigate and having previous issues with skiddle I don’t think I’ll be booking many more tickets for shows here which is a real shame.
Why they have to change I don’t know as it’s a lovely venue and the staff are lovely but I probably won’t be visiting as much as I have in the past

Hello. Thank you for your review, feedback will be passed onto our team.
Please be assured skiddle is just a temporary solution while we find a fix for our own website, we are working as hard as we can to sort. 😀

My little boy absolutely loved the Fireman Sam performance. His excitement over it was brilliant for me to see. Thank you to all involved in putting this on. I was also a fan when I was little, not so much now but it was good.
Hopefully more people continue to support the work of this theatre. We'll be back.

Went to see Whitney Queen of the Night. Fabulous, but we weren't allowed to stand up. As far as I'm aware there's no evidence that Coronavirus spreads when you stand up but doesn't spread when you sit down. This was just the management flexing their muscles IMO.

We come here every 12 months to see Talons. Great tribute band. Always packed out and no spare seats to be had. Theatre staff are great and the theatre is always clean and there’s a great atmosphere. Gets a bit busy in the bar, but that’s not a problem.

Our first visit here and had a great night.
We were here to watch Seven Drunken Nights, The story of The Dubliners. Very good show and would highly recommend.
Not much more I can say other than great theatre and good bar.
We will re visit again

Caught a local theatre company doing 'Thoroughly Modern Millie'. Fabulous theatre, great staff, good visibility of the stage and sound and lighting. A great experience had, will be visiting again!!!!!

It's great to have an active local theatre in a small town - definitely a plus. It's looks like a 60s or 70s building so therefore not attractive. There is a small entrance and narrow stairway up to the theatre resulting with a slow entrance and exit to the theatre. A lift is available. Once in the theatre it is small but has a good ambiance. View from most of the seats is good. I recently attended to watch an amateur performance which was fabulous.

Another great evening at The POW last night! The Shadows tribute performance was outstanding for its presentation and performance. Four guys [including a stand-in drummer who did very well to keep it all together] added a few lesser-known Shadows tunes such as Blue Star and Cosy from their earliest albums went down very well and the Cliff Richard songs made famous with Shadows backing kept the audience singing along. Although the venue was well attended, I cannot understand why this place is not full to capacity every time we attend.....it's less than half an hour from north Birmingham so come on, get behind Cannock and support The POW!

Hello
I'm a stranger to Cannock but I'm visiting the theatre on 12th October for a 7.30 pm show. Please advise where I could park (preferably for free).
Thanks.

Hi, there is a car park across the road from the theatre which is free after 630pm, if it is a daytime show then Morrisons is also in walking distance although the car park rates are quite reasonable with £1.20 for 2 hours
Hope this helps

Which seats are the best....is the stage high (so being too near wouldn't be good) 🤔

Great Wyrley, UK3 contributions
Row A-L are all flat seats. If you go near the front then you are looking up at the stage slightly.
Row M onwards is tiered seating & each row goes up a step at a time.

The theatre is situated a short walk from there on the one way system around the town centre by st Luke’s church. If you ring the box office during opening hours or pop in you can get the what’s on brochure for the season..

How far is the theatre from Cannock station? Is it walking distance?
Patricia W

I would say that his depends on how far and at what pace the questioner can walk.Personally it would take me around 15 minutes and i would say this would be termed as slightly uphill walking
where is the best place to park

Beecroft road car park is the closest and free of an evening.
Entrance is opposite the council offices/hospital so you can follow street signs to to it.
Park the bottom end nearest the main road & then it is just 2 pedestrian crossings & a short walk to theatre entrance.
