After years of abandonment and ruination comes the plan to restore this Slot.

At first sight there's not much to see - get a guide to take you round and explain, it is fascinating and needs support.
This is an ambitious project to rebuild the castle and farm buildings as they were in the 17th century. It will take many years.
Our enthusiastic guide explained everything.
It is closed over winter (except for school holidays). There is a cafe and shop on site.
Be careful of slippery steps in wet weather ;)

There was actually not much to see, other than a building site with a piece of the remnant walls and steel stairs between the walls. There is an information board outside the fence.
