Charming museum, we travel with the train, from Lugano the closest railway station seems to be Mendrisio San Martino but there's not direction to the museum from there, have google map read to find the museum. Enjoy the visit to the exhibit today and the location, free lockers for your bag, tad small for a jacket but there are hangers for that.
It's also a nice point where to arrive to visit Mendrisio old town, which is lovely.

We took the S10 train from Lugano (every 30 min) and walked up the hill (15-20 min). The museum is located in a former monastery. The breadth of media and expression in the current exhibit is outstanding. A couple of notes: It is closed on Monday. Tuesday-Friday hours are 10-noon and 14:00-17:00. The website provides a wealth of information in Italian and English. The exhibition is only in Italian, but readable if you download a translator app on your phone.
