Lovely lovely place, lots of shops, bars and restaurants but BEWARE......it is totally Spanish and not an English bar in sight. So if you enjoy a pint of bitter or cider you've got no chance! Nearest English bars are the Rugby Tavern, the Mucky Duck and Molly Mallones, which are a 10 min bus ride, or a 20 min cycle ride. Tourist beaches are lovely, 15 euros for 2 sunbeds and a canopy which is slightly pricey but I suppose average in Spain. Fabulous cycle paths, totally safe, cordoned off from the main road and go all the way along the beach front to Salou. Bikes are cheap to hire at around 10 euros per day. You can hire them for the hour too. All in all (apart from the English bars being non existent) Cambrils is a very nice resort.

As we were staying just a few miles down the road, we drove into Cambrils, but struggled to find free parking as it was so busy, all the paid parking was quite expensive at 4 euros so was pretty empty! anyway as I am tight, we drove around until we found a freebie! , We walked past a lot of old buildings and narrow roads , but as we made our way towards the beach we found to our left, a gorgeous sandy beach and on our right ,green parks play grounds cycle and skate tracks running along side of the walkway, We were only going to stroll for a little way but its so lovely, we carried on for miles while children played on the beach and also in the parks, others sat on benches in the shade of mature trees running the length of this wonderful promenade ,Many people were exercising others reading. There was something for everyone. It was like another world from the busy streets only a few minutes walk away.. Very relaxing, I was surprised how peaceful it was! I am so pleased we gave Cambrils a fair go, also they have a wonderful Marina. Well worth a visit.

Family friendly beach at Cambrils. Close to everything that you will need for a days enjoyment on the beach with your friends a family. 10 euros for a sunlounger which is a bit steep.

In the next resort down from Salou is this little beauty. Its a bit more laid back than its bigger neighbor. But the beaches are better. They have built a huge project of breakwater's separating all the different beaches so its really safe with calm water's. And the net result is that you don't have to go out for miles to get in deep and have a swim. you can move out 10 yeards and you are in it up to your'e neck. If you look on google maps you can see the size of this project. Eateries and bars are abundant. The waters are warm and crystal clear. A very nice day out to escape the bustling Salou.

Like something straight from the pages of a brochure. Miles upon miles upon miles of gorgeous sandy beaches, unspoilt by bars and shops. There's fresh water showers (free of charge) along the way and sunshades can be rented at 6 euros for the day. The sea is warm and clean with no stones underfoot. It gets deep quite quickly so you can have a real swim without being too far war from the edge of the water. We absolutely loved it.

Adore Cambrils. To spend my old lady days out living here would suit me down to a tee when I get a little older. Spent a day from Salou, only 10-15 mins on the plana bus, or you can cycle safely for a picturesque experience. Beaches are smaller than Salou, just as clean. Scenery is lovely, the town is adorable. Just the right size to amble around and look at all different things from little boutiques to quaint little cafes and delicious pizzerias to fresh fish mongers with an amazing array of the freshest catch.
A beautiful promenade to walk and watch all the action on the water. What is not to love !!

Really enjoyed a warm and sunny day walking along the beach, after the cold winter in England. It was in Santa Semana, so right at the beginning of the season, so still quiet. Would like to see what it is like high season,

We used the beach on the last 3 days of our holiday, it's cleaned every morning, we also saw litter pickers on there on one day. Sunbeds to hire for €4.5 per bed, €6 for a shade, per day, the guy controlling the sunbeds speaks great English, and you get a receipt for your payment, it lasts until 18.00 hrs. The beach is very flat, the sea easily accessable, and there's also a nice beach bar, called the Denver Bar, right on the beach, for drinks and snacks. Lifeguards patrol the beach at all times during the day, also first aid huts are at the back of the beach. There are also showers, and wooden slatted walkways that lead you on to the beach, helpful with kids buggies etc.
