This was a fantastic day out. We weren't sure if it would be ok for my 5 yr old and 9 yr old but it was excellent. Our guide was fantastic and both kids really enjoyed it as did we. Wear something warm however as it gets chilly on the jeep.

Booked this trip via our hotel to experience a little bit of the real Salou.Unfortunately it was cancelled on the day we booked as the night before there was a massive storm and the guide didn't think we would get the full experience under cover. We opted to wait until the storm cleared and went the next day.It was a fantastic day, quite scary in some parts off road but the driver was very experienced and it made for an exciting ride. The guide was very informative and stopped regularly to point out things of interest and allow us to take photos. We stopped for coffee on the way up to a tiny little village with only 15 residents and stopped again for drinks and spectacular views. We then made our way down to a restaurant where we had a lovely meal and a wine tasting session. Finally the sun came out and we stopped for the last time by a beautiful lake where you could swim if you wanted to or just take in the scenery. Then it was back to the jeeps for a final drive back to your hotel. It was a full day out and very enjoyable but I would say not for anyone who isn't a very good passenger as I found it a little bit hair raising in parts. For 20 euros you can get a DVD delivered to your hotel of the whole day, which I'm glad we did as I was too busy holding on to take pictures.Highly recommend.

Having done this kind of excursion in Crete (and loved it!), we were keen to experience the same in Spain.

Overall, the day was enjoyable and we were lucky enough to have some lovely people in the same jeep as us which really made the day for us. You see some beautiful views and areas of Costa Dorada that you never would normally see. The bumpy off-roading was fun if you like a little adventure.

Our driver wasn't particularly informative and didn't offer us much information about the sights whilst on the road which was a shame - it was the odd sentence here and there.

From a safety point of view, we would question just how safe the jeeps were. We noticed that two of the jeeps had bald tyres which would most definitely not be legal in the UK and this was a little alarming considering we were on some bumpy roads with no barriers, up the side of a mountain. Our young daughter sat between my husband and I, on a booster seat and her seatbelt and my own seatbelt had to constantly be retightened. The jeeps are open backed so it was a little unnerving knowing that the only thing keeping you in your seat was not staying tight.

You get offered a DVD of your excursion at the end for 20 euros but having got home and watched it, I would say that it is not worth 20 euros.

Overall, I feel that this excursion was more about the adrenaline rush of racing over bumpy roads rather than learning about the areas visited. It was a fun day with some beautiful views but I would say that safety was an issue.

I'd recommend it to someone looking for a bit of fun.

My husband and i done this attraction on our honeymoon and it was fantastic, the drivers where hilarious and didn't take anything to serious, we started off getting to know everyone and then headed off on our jeeps relaxing and looking at the beautiful scenery, we stopped off at a local cafe for drinks and ice creams then headed off again, the views where tremendous, we done wine tasting and had a lovely lunch, swam in a beautiful lake and had a great day.

Would highly recommend this day out 100% Cant wait to do it again.

Booked this trip through our tour operator Thomas cook and what a fantastic day it turned out to be.
Adrian our driver and guide was very informative and interesting and made the whole day fun, up in the mountains we pulled up for coffee in a typical village with fantastic views down on the coastline here we were given the option of lunch and wine tasting further up the mountain.
On with the climb up and then stopped for lunch 7 50 for a simple spaghetti and a good half bottle of local wine, you can purchase the wine and it's very good for only 7 euro.
After the vehicles had cooled down we then went back down and stopped of at a dam for a swim before the journey back to Salou this was the best part.
A mixture of road gravel and dirt tracks at high speed with the wind blowing in your face,
Adrenaline high, yes yes yes delivered back to our hotel some 4 30 ish.
Thanks guys for the memories.

Me and my partner went to salou 3 times to the basic tourist spots but decided to take a trip with the safari to see a different side of salou - Steve was one of a kind and had us laughing all the way from start to finish. The trip was both interesting and it gets your adrenaline up. Icing on the cake was the swim at the end and Steve's suprise at the end 😊 would recommend them highly and was taken care of throughout!!! Litterly suitable for all ages from children to couples to adults!! Be ready for a barrel of laughs and beautiful scenery!!

The jeep adventure excursion is a must when coming to this part of Spain! Never done anything like this before and I would highly recommend! The driver we had was called Steve and he was so friendly and full of fun facts for the whole of the journey! The taxi picked us up early in the morning and steve dropped us back at our hotel around half four! So you definitely get your money’s worth! Along the way you find out information and facts about the crops and fruit that grow in Catalonia as well as taking a trip up the mountains seeing all the vineyards! We stopped off at many small villages along the way which had some breathtaking views (especially the higher up the mountain we got). Lunch wasn’t included however for just 7.50 euros you either got to pick a traditional Catalonian dish or another alternative! Me and my partner picked the traditional dish and it was one of the best meals we’ve had all holiday! We also got to try some proper Catalonian wine along with our meal and we got to take the rest of the bottle home with us! Me and my partner would definitely do this excursion again and would recommend to anyone wanting to do something for a fun day out in this area!

we booked our jeep aventure while on holiday in Salou, we were told we would be collected from our hotel at 8.50, our car turned up eventually at 9.45 to take us to the jeep (cutting our day by 1 hour), to get on/off the jeep you climbed on the back where there was metal sticking up dangerously, my husband later told me he noticed wheel nuts missing and would be surprised the jeep was road worthy !!! The man driving our vehicle did not speak English !!! His driving was very erratic and worrying - I later found out they were short of a driver and our driver was a fellow guest they asked if he fancied driving us around !!!!!! If I knew this before we set off I definately would not have gone, when I questioned one of the drivers about this they said they do this some times !! very unprofessional, totally spoilt my experience, I have never left reviews on trip adviser but feel so strongly about this I felt I must this time

Victor was very good with lots of knowledge of the mountain plants and history but had to speak French and English as the English guy had left. This meant lots of waiting around as he spoke to each group in the appropriate language. The views as went up the moutains was spectacular and breath taking. It was very hot and I was looking forward to going to the waterfull which was pictured on the advertising material, but apparently it had all dried up and we had to settle for a dirty, rocky, smelly part of the lake. I was not impressed by this and very disapointed. Make sure you take a packed lunch as Victor rang ahead to order meals which were rubish and over priced. Drinks were cheeper in the other more up market cafe. Not worth 49 Euros.
