We stayed in Salou and went on the local bus to Cambrils for the day. In fact we enjoyed it so much we went back another day. The port has some amazing views. It has a very relaxing atmosphere with plenty of restaurants. We found a lovely small pastry shop called Sant Salvador just away from the main front. Very traditional. Would consider spending our holiday there.

Torre de Cambrils is a watchtower located on the main promenade of Cambrils, a town in the Tarragona coast of Catalonia. Here there was, in May, a little expositions of sea landscapes and seamans. It is interesting. Also if you can go up to the upper level, you can go outside and see beautiful views of the sea, the promenade and the city of Cambrils. Interesting, but not indispensable.

This is the old watchtower for Cambrils and a land mark building on the promenade It was the lookout point for pirates. It was built in the 17 century and used to have artillery on the top. It was only open on a Saturday and Sunday whilst we were there. in May. It is free to go in. It is renovated and used as an exhibition space. At the moment and until the beginning of June they have a series of photographs by Carlinos Mco from Galicia in northern Spain. There is a very modern staircase to get to the first floor and then a traditional stone spiral staircase to the the top. There is a viewing terrace all around the tower. Lovely views over the town and Marina. If you don't like heights you can see the views through the windows. The young woman on duty was very pleasant and helpful.

Nice looking tower - it wasn't obvious you could go inside - I certainly didn't realise. If you are in the port area you can't miss it - it's on the promenade

A 17th Century tower which was built to fight off pirates and defend the local area. Lovely, well preserved little tower, which had a textile art exhibition inside when I visited, and great views of Cambrils from the top.

We were advised to be on our guard with wallets etc here as it’s extremely busy. I lost mine presumed stolen however it was picked up by an honest man who rang the hotel and later dropped it back in to me even with all the money. He wouldn’t take anything for it either which I wished he had. How lucky ?? Maybe karma is real as that’s something I would do and have done in the past.

I’d recommend taking a nice walk along the piers for sunset at this time of year as the water was so still and reflective it was beautiful.

Nothing special and I'm not sure why it is an attraction. You can't go in and it's a tower. says it all.

The place is small, but enjoyable. This is one of few architectural elements of Cambrils. Worth talking a look while you are passing by.
