Amazing boat rental experience with Cadaques Rent
Jun 2017 • Couples
I spend every summer in Cadaques and usually have a self owned boat, however this year 2017 due to some technical issues we were unable of using our own boat, Hence this past June i turned to Cadaques Rent in order to rent one of their boats for a day. We were very pleased both by the customer service from its employees, they were very helpful, profesional and honest and with the boat they provided us with. The price was very affordable and more importantly with rentals, they were completely trustworthy. We highly recommend it, as we're 100% sure of returning whenever we need a boat!!!

Jul 2017 • Family
We rented a boat from Pau at Cadaquesrent and we had the adventure of our holiday! Exploring the Cap De Creus is so incredible and the freedom of doing it by boat is unbelievable fun. I did this with my daughters and we loved it. Pau was so so helpful and everything worked beautifully and went smoothly. Thanks Pau!!

A beautiful village near Barcelona
Jun 2017
If you are visiting Barcelona and have a car, take a drive to Cadaques, a beautiful seaside village on Costa Brava. This is where the wealthy of Barcelona come to vacation. Beautiful whitewashed buildings perched on a hillside. Narrow streets filled with bougainvillea. Bring your camera. Cadaques is where Salvador Dali was born. He painted several paintings depicting the town. His home is nearby and worth a visit, as well. Make a reservation in advance. Tours are small and fill up. It will be difficult to book a tour the same day.

Stunning villages in North East Spain
Aug 2014 • Couples
We have just returned from a wonderful tour of beautiful villages and towns in Northern Spain. Our holiday started with the Wedding of our Daughter in Santa Anna Church in Barcelona - just off Catalunya. Hotel Jazz was the hotel chosen as 'the Wedding Hotel' for guests to stay and it was truly an excellent choice of hotel - rooms are lovely and their suites are so spacious and beautiful. The hotel staff were so helpful in every way. The roof terrace was a great place for meeting up every night, the atmosphere is sooo relaxing, enticing and very difficult to leave until the early hours. The reception was about 30 mns out of Barcelona in St Pere de Clara. It was truly a magical wedding.
A few days after the Wedding, we got the train to Girona and picked up a hire car which we had booked from home. We drove to the beautiful little fishing village Cadaques where we stayed for 4 nights in Hotel Octavia.- a 3 star hotel right in the centre and is fine - nothing plush but spacious clean and comfortable rooms with nice bathroom, towels etc.We also had a balcony with side sea view.
Cadaques is just beautiful- quaint narrow streets, cobblestones, waves crashing in and several excellent restaurants. It was lovely to wander up through the narrow streets and into the church where they were preparing for a concert. From here we went right up along the coast to the French Border, discovering many lovely towns and villages.
We then headed for Besalu- one of the most beautiful, well preserved medieval villages in Spain. We stayed in Els Jardins de la Martana Hotel - authentic, eccentric, quirky hotel which we loved - not for those who want the typical chain hotel. We toured around beautiful scenery of the Garrotxa region. in the high high mountains - narrow roads and many bends. We also went to Oix, and on to Beget where we had lunch - really beautiful villages.
We then went to Girona, returned our rental car. We stayed in Hotel Historic, right beside the Cathedral and two other churches. This is a nice small hotel , rooms nicely decorated with many designer touches but -' the Bells, the bells' they ring every 15 mns - day and Night - it was impossible to sleep with all the noise and I would not stay there again. It is also situated on a very very steep hill, which was difficult , especially if carrying shopping etc back to hotel. We did not really like restaurants in the Old Town, and the Hotel owner verified this, recommending instead, restaurants across the river, away from the tourist spots. We found a lovely restaurant - Casa Marietta - in a lovely elegant square.
Girona was our least favourite place of the entire trip.
We ended our holiday by getting the train back to Barcelona for our last night and stayed in the lovely Hotel Jazz

Underhand tactics...not honest people.
Aug 2014 • Family
We rented a Boat from them for half a day. They spoke very good English and everything went well as we agreed the charges, paid, signed the Contract and gave a 500 Euro deposit on my Credit Card for the Boat. We had a pleasant time in the Boat and it was nice to see Cadaques from a different viewpoint.
When we returned however they wanted more money for fuel. This was never mentioned and is on none of their Signs displayed at all. Thieves! You have to pay for the Fuel to get your Deposit of 500 Euros back. I notice another Reviewer never got his back....we'll have to see if mine comes back. Beware and avoid this Company if I were you. They have little Kiosks along the Harbour Front.........Cadaquesrent is their name....

Scooter/Boat Rentals
Jul 2014 • Family
The staff was friendly but did not speak much english. The scooter that we rented worked very well. The issue that I have with this business is that they required a 200 Euro deposit which they proceeded to charge on my credit card. They should have held the account information and charged if the scooter was damaged. They gave me a receipt for the "credit" on the deposit but it never showed up on my credit card statement. My credit card company is currently disputing this transaction. Beware of this potential scam. I'd try the Rent a Bit scooter rentals across the street next to the Produce Business.
