Its a picturesque five km stretch of coast road that leads to the cap. the lighthouse is the starting point for a footpath,to enjoy the wonderful views over the nearby coves.
Conversely the view from the water end is sheer spectacular. the coves a nd low hillocks with the mountains behind are superb. We sailed past the lighthouse to the town of Roses.primarily strategic in its early years,makes its living primarily from the sea and tourism. the afternoon landing of the fish catch drawing buyers and spectators to the quayside.

Sailing past long sandy beaches of the gulf on the Costa Brava, we wished we would be here for the carnival,that once a year is transformed into wild mayhem
