About
We are Scuba Sur, an international SSI Diving Center. We are operating in the South of Gran Canaria. We offer dive courses from beginner to pro, diving to several spots and snorkeling trips. We are the only center in the South that has their boat lying just next to their dive center! We even have dive courses for children. For those who never dived before we offer (one-on-one with an instructor) introduction dives either from the ANFI beach or from our boat. This way you learn the beginning skills from diving and you get used to the equipment. Furthermore you can enjoy the Discovery Scuba Diving Course and experience a dive in open sea. If you like it you can continue to become a Scuba Diver or an Open Water Diver. Excellent wreck, reef and wall dives, diving from shore and from boats, waste no more time before experiencing the beauty and freedom of the weightless floating underwater. Our multilingual instructors will show you the way.

The guys are professional they make the dives enjoyable from the first moment.
I had 4 dives with them the first two were with Ryan he is very knowledgeable and experienced in his diving great lad I would not think twice to dive with him again too guy.
My last two were with Joris and again he has a so much knowledge and gave me pointers on what a better way to do things and even gave me his torch to check out the shipwreck.
The captain of the rib Fran was on hand to help and pass on knowledge and muffins and the dive stop on the rib.
Anita she is also a diver but I never had the chance to dive with her but she is a lovely person and if by what I seen with Ryan and Joris I can only assume she is as dedicated and a good diving as the rest of the Center.
The kit is in good condition and well serviced the boat is just what you need to go diving I was a little worried as it was my first ever boat dive but they helped all the was and made it effortless and put me at ease.
I took my own computer with pod and they attached it to the regs for me without any questions.
Being from the uk diving is like pee soup here the vis was 20m or more.
I managed to do my first

And seeing loads of Marine life
I would recommend this dive Center to anyone visiting Gran Canaria as they are 10/10

Great place with skilled professionals that are ready to help. The courses that they provide are guaranteed to be good and after them you will have good knowledge on how to dive or become a better fiver. They offer PADI and SSI courses. They know also good diving locations at the Canary Island. Equipment is kept in good condition so as a client you don't have to worry to much and can rely on that everything work as it should, so that your safety is not compromised at any turn. I recommend this place especially for people who want to start diving because on how well they teach and take you as a person and a diver into consideration when planning dives and courses. For me this is also the one place where I keep on returning year after year because I enjoy their services and hospitality and especially their professionalism. Will go back as soon as I can. Totally 10/10 place.

After doing an introductory dive a couple of years ago, I came back to do the Open Water Diver Certification course. My instructor was great! He was knowledgeable and very clear, calm, and professional during the explanations and underwater exercises. After the certification course we went on a boat dive and I can give the same feedback for the entire team.
The dives were very well guided and took us to some beautiful places, with a lot of fish and other wildlife – including an angel shark!
All in all, it was a beautiful experience and I will definitely be back again for one of the advanced courses!

It was the second time we dived in Gran Canaria, and we did it again with Scuba Sur! The very professional attitude to diving makes my Teenie and me feel safe. That's important to me! I let my child dive day and night alone with ANY of this staff of Scuba Sur without having sorrows!
The customer-orientated organisation of this diving base impressed me again! Not only friendly, also always attentive, helpful and with a discreet end-control before letting us slip into the water. At the end we had done every exciting boat dive around Puerto Rico (most of them in comfortable double dives) and what happened? They didn't let us simply dive the same spots twice, but offered us a trip by car to some very nice shore dives in El Cabron (protected area, diving allowed). Customer first! It's definitely different to other bases I know.
All this is topped by a familiar atmosphere, what we appreciate very much! So there's a reason, why this base survived covid!
Joris, Anita, Dan, Bram and Frank, we are looking forward to seeing you next year!

We’ve just had two fantastic days diving with sur scuba. We rented very well maintained equipment and they were very knowledgeable about sizes and what was required to maintain an enjoyable dive. We went out on their rib boat which again was very well maintained and the diving well organised. We were taken to four very good dive sites which were full of life very large rays out in the deep blue. Small groups ,very knowledgeable dive leader overall a very enjoyable couple of days diving and the bonus of two turtles on the way back to the marina

Safety is top notch, it's not just a sandy bottom dive where you see 3 conch shells and a single fish. It's great diving where you see fish of all species, luminescent fish, spear crabs, the biggest anemone I've seen, and at no time do you feel overwhelmed. I've tried diving before in other countries, where it seems like it's just a business, whereas here, it was a real experience. When my girlfriend was going down, the captain got off the boat and cheered when she came under the water, it took some time due to nervousness, and he just wanted her to have a good experience, as opposed to the somewhat questionable experience she had in Turkey. Absolutely recommendable, everything is in English and is understandable.

My 13 year old, achieved his Junior SSI Open water diving certificate. He arrived as a referal diving having had some issues equalising pressure in his ears, the instructor Dan quickly worked through this with my son. He did 3 beach dives and one boat dive, he came from all of them tired but buzzing with excitement. He was lucky enough to see a turtle, moray eel and cuttlefish, plus many other fish.

I recommend it to you if you are staying in the south of Gran Canaria and you want to dive a bit. They are very professional (safety first) but unlike other centers they treat you like an adult. Their gear and equipment is new and good and they staff is very friendly and client oriented.

We did Padi Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses with Scuba Sur with my friend and enjoyed it very much. The staff was nice and made us feel very welcomed. The teaching was conducted in a professional matter and you could see that the staff gave themselves to the work. Thank you Scuba Sur! 👌❤️

The Scuba Scur Dive Base ist a very good Professional Dive Base.
The Rental Equipment ist Professional and Serviced.
The Instructor and Dive Guides are Professional and very friendly.
The Price for Dives are ready fair.
The Owner and Instructor is more than Professional and real friendly. The Zodiac ist big and have place for 10 Divers and the Dive places and Wreck Spots are very Beautyful.
I can recommend the Dive Base Scuba Sur of Gran Canaria Southside.
The Rental Equipment ist Professional and Serviced.

How long will you be underwater for during a snorkelling trip?

Hi. A snorkeling excursion, typically done during the afternoon, takes about 2 hrs. The total snorkeling time is about 1 hr. The rest is taken by the briefing, getting dressed (all snorkelers get a full wetsuit) and the time needed to go to and come back from the dive site.

Hi Cindy, ja, wij organiseren ook kantduiken maar alleen als het weer deze toelaat. De enige mogelijkheden hiervoor zijn nl in het Noordoosten van het eiland en daar zit soms heel sterke stroming en zijn er grote golven. Groetjes Joris
