Got the bus here from Playa del Inglis. Spent about 45 to 50 minutes wandering the stalls. Usual fair. Bought some sunglasses, leather belts and a wallet. Some stall sellers have fixed prices and these are often the true locals. Didn't get into bartering with...More

These stallholders move round the island. Unless you are looking for good leather items, it's not worth a special visit. However Arguineguin maintains it's old charm and is worth a visit. Only 200 metres away up the small hill that overlooks the port is an...More

I love markets! We got the bus from Puerto Rico and were a bit concerned about knowing where to get off but no need - the bus driver shouted "mercado!" and everyone got off and we just followed the crowd! We soon discovered that the...More

Awful market. Full of rubbish. Nice town with a few beautiful cafes overlooking the sea. Very easy to take the bus there from Maspalomas.

Very average. No one was buying. Not great, wish I'd stuck to mogan..! Taxi from puerto rico was six euro. There also road works both ways so be careful about travelling peak.

You can get to this large market by bus from Faro de Mspalomas and this is probably the best way of travelling there as parking can be a bit of a nightmare. Get off the bus at the first stop in town as the market...More

We visited last Tuesday expecting to find a local traditional market but instead found a busy market with cheap 'curios' and lots, fake handbags and clothes. Very disappointing. It was very busy in town which made parking extremely difficult. I'd definitely avoid going. It put...More

This market was predominantly clothes and fake designer handbags. Not recommended if you are looking for local crafts and food.

Handy parking and we walked down to the promenade and the beach was a delight. Lots of room to sunbathe and swim and it felt like not many people knew about this place as there was a nice friendly atmosphere. We walked along looking at...More

WSorry, we had a car..The market was ok but the harbour area was worth the visit anyway. Get a price from the taxi driver before you go. For him it will be a one way fare, might be reluctant to go.
