My partner and I booked with sail the canaries to gain our Day Skipper in late December 2021, what a fantastic time we had! The communication in the lead up to our arrival was exceptional and kept us up to date with the latest covid news and travel requirements for both arrival and departure from the island. Alex even helped to arrange transport from the airport and to our hotel after our time on the sailing course. The yacht was spotless, comfortable and well stocked with food, drinks and snacks. The skipper was excellent giving everyone a chance to show their abilities, offering advice when needed and each evening gave feedback. He also gave us the opportunity to ask for more time on certain areas of the course. I would most certainly recommend Sail the Canaries and fully intend to return soon to do my coastal skipper.

Had a fantastic week sailing whilst completing my Day Skipper course. Instruction by Mark was faultless; I learnt so much more than I thought I would! The boat was well stocked with tasty food and I had a nice holiday on top of completing the course.

During COVID I have had to change and rebook several trips either as holidays or on business. I had originally booked this sailing holiday in January 2020 for August 2020. Alex was throughout the most accommodating person to deal with who accommodated to move our sailing dates to meet my requirements. This is a great credit to the team at Sail the Canaries. We eventually managed to get to the destination in November 2021 (wow some delay since August 2020) through all the tests and quarantine laws and we were greeted with an enthusiastic team whose aim was to teach one of the family members the day skipper qualification while instructing the remaining family members as competent crew. The instructor Tony was first class. He was very patient and brought out the best in the team to encourage them to think and learn from what they were doing to be competent in the tasks they were undertaking. This culminated in one sibling qualifying as day skipper and the other two as competent crew. Me its was just bank of dad as I was already more than competent enjoying the trip as a layman watching others do the work. The yachts are Bavaria 37s which are great training vessels, not too difficult to handle and yet capable of installing the basics of yachting to the uninitiated. The yachts are well stocked with food and drinks for the voyages and there was little we needed to meet our requirements. The thankful token for Fuerteventura is that its warm and generally has some wind throughout the year to ensure sailing is going to be on the cards. For me all in all it was a fantastic trip I could easily repeat. As a little poem here goes. With the wind in your face With the sun on your back The yacht is all yours To Gybe or to Tack

Brilliant week doing my Day Skipper Practical with Sail the Canaries - Clive is a top quality instructor. Would recommend to anyone doing RYA Qualifications, but also to anyone looking to have a nice holiday in a beautiful place and improve their sailing. Dolphins off the bow of the boat was an added bonus! Definitely an 'A-tier' school.

I and my son Ryan did a week training with Sail the Canaries. Emma our instructor was excellent and more than patient. Even without the sunshine, I would recommend Sail the Canaries to anyone thinking of sail training. I will be back again.
