Booked the night before and had to change the details and alter the number and type of bikes. This wasnt a problem and they were flexible. We ended up hiring 2 e-Mountain Bikes and rode from Correlejo along the north coast to El Cotillo, down to La Oliva and back up to Corralejo.
Pros: Really friendly service, bikes in very good condition, full kit (inc 1 gel seat) in with price, open till 7pm.
Cons: Quite expensive E60 for 2 days (or E35 for 1 day but some other cheaper suppliers had some bad reviews regarding quality. Bikes were in excellent condition and gave us confidence they were safe.
Will definitely recommend and use again. First time on eBikes and they are fantastic!

Hired a FELT road bike here in January. Service was superb. Bike set up brilliant and service from friendly, honest and knowledgeable staff was outstanding. After mediocre experience in other rentals - this shop is the tops! Thank you to the young man and young woman who could not do enough to assist. Bike in tip-top condition, choice of pedals and made to measure fitting of saddle etc. Alan Sample (from N.E. England)

our team knows how hard it is to feel comfortable on a bike that is not standard. We have the solution for that as our team has knowledge about biomechanics of cycling and so will be able to advise you to choose the right size and the right height of saddle. So you can enjoy the island doing what you love.

Primarily thanks to Udo the excellent friendly sales technician, was very well looked after for the hire of a carbon road bike. (€35 for day one, then €25/day thereafter). Supplied in very good condition with helmet, pump, tools and lock. Udo also advised and helped with my route planning. Will definitely return if/when we return to the area. Note now called Volcano Bikes NOT Life Cycles

Beware!!!!... these people do not have any insurance so if something happens like it did with me ( my bike was stolen ). Be prepared to pay!

Hi,
All our customers have access to the conditions for renting a bike. The contract specified in the 4th paragraph that the customer is responsible for lost or stolen bicycles. I remind you wonder about the safety of the bike and was informed that they had no insurance. I will inform the price you would pay for the bike if it is stolen and you accept these conditions.
We're sorry you had to go through this because it is the first time that stolen bicycles to our customers.
The bicycle he received was in perfect condition, semi new padlocked and all for security.

Booked an e-bike tour. Paid €30 deposit. At same time we asked about hiring bikes for the following day and he said no problem and to go back next day after 6pm there would be plenty. Next day we went back and were told there were no bikes available and he denied what he’d said the day before. We weren’t impressed and tbh were concerned about our e-bike trip later that week and hoped it would be ok and not awkward. 2 days before the e-bike trip he called to cancel and suggested dates for us to rebook, but we couldn't do other dates. Guess what? He couldn’t remember us paying him the €30 cash deposit (he had suggested at time of booking that we pay 30 or 40 Euro and to pay balance on the day - both my husband and I were there at that time and he didn’t give us a receipt but took our mobile number). We didn’t think to ask for a receipt (won’t ever do that again) as he came across as helpful and professional. Unfortunately we lost the €30 but thankfully no more. We had intended to speak to his colleague the next day but as he was adamant on the phone that there was no deposit paid and without us having a receipt we decided it was pointless. As a result of this dishonest and/or incompetent service we would definitely NOT recommend this cycle hire company.

Well, this opinion if it seems absurd. Do you think I will damage the image of my company for 30 euros ?? The truth is that you never gave any deposit, in fact you have no receipt for it. Tours are paid before or after the tour but always the entire amount.
With respect to bike rentals, you did not book the bikes, you said that maybe they would rent them but they did not know exactly when. but he did not make a reservation. We are in August and without a confirmed reservation it is almost impossible to guarantee the bicycles.
It is true that you booked a tour and it is true that for reasons unrelated to the start, we had to cancel giving you new dates to be able to do the tour. but what about the € 30 deposit I think is wrong or this was in another company. So either present the receipt of that payment or I ask you to delete your comment

Visited Corralejo and hired 2 mountain bikes for two days with friend from Life Cycles for second year running. Booked bikes in advance with David at Life Cycles and on arrival bikes were waiting and ready to go.
We enjoyed two great days exploring the coast line on track/cycle lanes and road. Bikes were good quality, fairly priced and we had no problems. Spare tubes,levers etc provided although as a regular biker I also had some extra equipment,water bottles etc of our own.
Advise booking in advance as rentals are popular.
Thanks again to David & Life Cycles.

Fantastic shop great bike definitely use again, maybe be handy if measurements could be sent in advance, bike wasn’t set up but not too much hassle, roads are fantastic wind can be a problem sun block a must

Booked bike hire for two days via email. David was friendly and relaxed and took time out to talk about routes on map and asked what distances I planned. He pointed out good places to visit and adjusted the ‘Focus’ bike I’d hired to my measurements. He gave me spare tube, tool kit, pump and tyre levers which happily I never had to use. It may be wise to bring a saddle bag if you don’t fancy pocketing all these items or ask David if he has any. Great handy location to most hotels in Corralejo. Great range of new bikes and other gear. David always responds quickly to email enquires and let me change pick up time at short notice. Thoroughly recommend Life Cycles.

David responded quickly to my email enquiries and the bikes were ready when we arrived to collect them. They were good bikes and well maintained, good gear changes and no complaints at all. There are many routes, long and short, easy and hard right out of Corralejo and it made the holiday for us, giving us basic transport and a good activity to do as well.

We originally asked to rent a couple of road bikes but then looking at the maps realised mountain bikes would be a much better option. Nothing was too much trouble for David. We ended up with 2 Scott hardtail mtbs in very good condition - thoroughly enjoyed them. We were based in Lajares with lots of good tracks to ride on. David dropped the bikes off and picked them up at the end of the holiday. Brilliant service we will definitely be using them next time we visit.

Hi. I hope English is okay ?
We’re arriving early November and would like to hire 3 good bikes for 10-14 days. All adults no electric. We’re staying in an apartment near Nico’s Belgian bar. Are you near there ?
Could you give an approximate price please. Also if we’re a good distance away and breakdown or crash etc would you collect us/recover us back ?
Can also hire helmets (or are they inclusive in rental). Also what day tours do you do this time of year?

Reading the reviews the price seems to go up and down ? I arrive on the 5th for three weeks and looking to hire a road bike for at least 3 times [maybe 4] in first two weeks I am 73 - ride 150 miles a week - am a sky ride leader - I have 4 bikes [3 road - all carbon]
Bike a would maybe rent [1 day at a time would be 52 cm - saddle height 32 inches from top to pedal spindle - seat pin to middle handle bar 24 inches [if 100mm extension] - my shoes will have look cleats fitted -do you provide helmet [saves me bringing one - need reply by Tuesday night 4th as we leave on 5th - what's your true location.

Prices were always the same for me. Must be the different range of bikes they have.
They provide helmets and cleats, no extra proce is charged for this I believe.
