We drove through Lajeres in a dune buggy and I really wish we could have stopped, it's a lovely little traditional town, we had planned to walk here from Corralejo but I'm not great with the heat so maybe we'll go back in the cooler months.

A great little town in-between Corrajelo and El Cotillo, a couple of shops and restaurants. Really relaxed vibe and a cool market on the weekends! Great views all around.

Guide book suggested famous for embroidery, we found none. Small artisan market on Saturday perhaps a dozen stalls. Blink and you'll miss it type of place.

There are good points and bad points.....never been here or this canary island before, On arrival , expected concierge to take us to our villa , however just one staff on at 10pm so no concierge , one would expect, a VIP villa to be nearer, but hey we found it...(bad point) Food in the restaurant was a little repetitive... We took a bus trip from Correlejo and went to the market and had cake and coffee before heading back. Nice market with hand made items.

Enjoyed the town and views on our car journey whilst exploring Fuerteventura. The clouds produced some lovely shading over the landscape

If You based in Corralejo take a bus (runs every hour, and cost less than 3,00€) to Lajares and walk to the volcano summit. Lovely day trip. In Lajares there is few shops, to get water and small snacks.

Lovely little place to stop on the way to or from the beach for a coffee or a pizza - have a look around, they are all decent little eateries and the service is friendly and relaxed. Been many times. Always worth it.
