Lovely beach, has a few cafes for cocktails, beers and food nearby. Because the area is not a massive developed resort, it is quiet and calm and there is only a few people there during the daytime. The bad side of this is that it's quiet far away from the centre of Corralejo. It can be difficult to get a taxi back and there are not a lot of food/drink amenities after sundown. I would recommend going here definately but please don't forget to bring enough food and water to last you because of how isolated it is from the main town. You can walk here but I would advise against it. I would say it is around at least 1 hour walk from the centre.

Booked a 4 day kitesurfing beginner course.

The first day consisted of theory, how to set up and flying the kite. The wind was too light so we were taken to the West side of the Island for the kite flying. The tuition was thorough but probably due to the travelling time, we didn't really get much self improvement time at all, which should have been 3 hours.

Day 2. In the water and learning to body drag. This is where it all went wrong for me. We were taken out to see in a dinghy boat.

For the first time in my life I was sea sick and had a miserable time. Looking at other reviews now I see this is not so uncommon. I attempted to get in the water twice and the instructor tried their best, but I reckon I wasn't well enough as I just struggled. I was left in the water for a while to try and get over my sea sickness, which I didn't enjoy trying to hold onto the boat.
I cannot fault the instructor for trying though, they were patient. I didn't really like being in the deep water near the Lobos Island though. Despite being in a yellow safety vest, I felt nervous, even though I'm a long time windsurfer.

In the end I asked to be taken back to the beach as I was feeling quite ill and I was relieved when I was on dry land again. I was given a refund for 2 days out of the 4 which I was grateful for, but really day 2 was a write off.

I did wonder why the body dragging didn't take place in shallow water, and perhaps beach starting would be a lot easier than being taken out into the deep water, which was I thought was choppy. However I notice the water on this beech is very deep even near the beech. I'm sure the guys have a good reason why they do it like this.
However, in my opinion maybe this location is not really ideal if you're a beginner.

Also I didn't go in the boat with the guys I had been with on day 1, but with some other people who seemed to be at different levels to me, so we were all learning different skills.

I came back on day 3 and hired a windsurfing board but unfortunately for next 2 days there was hardly any wind, which is unusual in this location. But the wind is never guaranteed of course.

The beach is a beautiful golden sand and the sea a deep turquoise, idyllic really for relaxing. Maybe I'll try paddle boarding next time!

We walked from corralejo Town a few times to visit this beach, which took about 45-55 mins, though there's plenty of safe parking along the road and a couple of car parks.
We visited the section near the kite surfing shack, which had a small beach bar, plenty of sunbeds but is quieter than the "main" part of the beach. Beds were €10 a day for 2 and an umbrella. Beach is kept lovely and clean, waters clear but a bit rocky in places, though easily avoidable! Only downside is the lack of toilets, but these are available on the main beach!
This is my partners favourite beach, and is a great place to sit down, lie down and unwind!

Fabulous beach on which to spend your day on with or without clothes. Plenty of Kite surfers doing their stuff which is great fun to watch, especially the not so good ones. If you want a break from the sun visit the beach bar for a drink/bite to eat.

Wonderful beach with rock shelters, beautiful views. We cycle/walk there every day and spend most of the day on the beach. Lovely especially when the tide is out, you can climb on the rocks or sit in the shallow pools, great.

Beautiful beach with shower facility and a headland bar. This bar has live music daily which is a great experience with the ambience.

We loved sunbathing on this stretch of beach ... great to watch the kite surfers and fantastic views of Lobos and Lanzarote. Not so good for swimming so be aware sea is quite choppy. Special mention to Flag Beach Bar - brilliant chicken baguettes!

Never seen so much sand in my life it was like a desert. Such a wonderful place where water sports mainly surfing and kite surfing took place along with loads of sun seekers.
