A long beach with plenty of places to sit, there is a path along the top of the beach so great access for everyone. Looks like the beach is harrowed every morning to remove any seaweed and a massive choice of sunbeds for 6.5 euros each for the day. Not the clearest of water but if you want sea, sand, showers, food nearby this is the place.

Nice beach soft sand and shallow waters. The sae is always calm no big waves and no strong current so it is good for families :) The beds are €6.50 to rent between 10am and 6pm which is worth it. Went out of season so it wasn’t too crowded :) would recommend !

Lovely clean wide white sand beach with beautiful clear warm water. Sunbeds were all socially distanced. and can be booked for a number of days in advance or you can pay on the day to the person who comes around. There is plenty of beach with no sunbeds so you can just bring your own towel and put it down.

Nice beach but average for Mallorca there are much better beaches on the island with crystal clear water (cala agulla, cala varques, cala llombards, and many others place on the south cost).
The water is clean and there are many starfish,
Beach too close to the town of Port de Alcudia with lots of expensive beach restaurants serving disappointing food.
Cool for windsurfing, sailing...
The town of Port de Alcudia has a very family atmosphere and not much for party.

I have been spoiled sandy white beaches and clear water of the Caribbean Sea as a child, so I am very picky with respect to beaches. I must admit that this beach is amazing! Shallow water. Nice wave, mild water temperature in September, spacious, sun beds available (operated by the city municipality) and very accessible by road and by foot.

We stayed at the Viva Golf and so it's the beach of choice. Chairs in July 2021 were E6.50 per day. The water is murky and there are lots of screaming children around. It's OK for running along in the morning.

Visited whilst staying in port area of Alcudia. A lot has changed since last visit a few years ago. Sadly a lot of businesses have not survived the Covid 19 . Shops that are left are few and far between as are the bars and restaurants. It’s ok maybe for a few days but there really is not much to do.
Beach is lovely
If you stay take some insect repellent as it’s rife with mosquitoes.
Also take calomile lotion as it’s €15.95 a bottle

While the walled town of Alcudia is the cutest one on the island, I cannot say the same for its beach set some 5 min drive from it.
From a distance it looks postcard like - very long with turquoise sea. However, the beach is so shallow you need to walk very far to be able to swim.
It is suitable for families with young kids, but I did not like it.

Visiting Alcudia 35 years on I was impressed to see the care that is being taken to maintain the high quality of the beach, seaweed is being collected, sand raked and great kids playground on the beach as well.
The beach shelves very gradually into the sea for a long way so kids cant get out of their depth.
The sunsets are amazing to watch from the extensive beach bars.
*** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ***

Beautiful beach with white sand. Wide enough to not to get too crowded. The water is shallow quite far into the sea so it is a big plus when being here with children. Visited in middle of September and 3 of 7 days was a bit windy but not too bad.

Siempre hace brisa, es el norte de la isla. Tramuntana. Pero en verano, von la calor q hace, siempre se sgradece. En cuanto a oker mal, no digo q algún día de temporal estando las aguas removidas no pueda haber mala olor. Pero yo q he veraneado muchos años allí, siempre he estado maravillosamente.

Hi - we are hoping to visit Alcudia with another family in August. We'll have tbe kids with us, all 10 & 13. We'd really like self catering apartments around the Port area, with a bit of entertainment for the kids and close to the beach/pubs. We'd also like to walk to the Strip if possible. We've never been to Majorca/Alcudia before, so any advice on apartments and nice places to go, would be massively appreciated. We don't mind (just a little) bit of tack ;)
Thanks in advance.

Hi Stephanie, we visited Alcudia for about 15 years - before moving here. There’s loads to do with kids and the beaches are fab! The port is a good base, nice bars and places to eat in the evening. Plus you’re on top of a 5k sandy beach - great for walking. We always preferred to stay in Alcudia old town. Culturally it’s beautiful. At night you can walk on the old walls - they’re lit. There are markets twice weekly and the bars and eateries are lovely. Then it’s a short cycle or walk to the big sandy beach or coves in the day. Whatever you opt for - hope you have a brilliant holiday :)

Ciao, io che vado in vacanza con bimbi preferisco sempre partire con la prenotazione in mano del posto in cui soggiorno. Sinceramente non so se cambiano le tariffe se cerchi direttamente in loco... Buone vacanze
