Great selection of European beers, especially the Belgian ones. We paid more for the same size beers in Belgium than we did here. Excellent brunch still; just had a great selection of ham, cheese and salchichon, with a bottle of wine. One of my favourite places in Alcudia old town.…

Staying with fiends, who live just round the corner from this the unique shop. An abustle delight just to choose a few tapas rather than have a full meal. Choose from beautiful olives, cheese and Mallorquian meats. To drink choose a flamboyant Rioja from his extensive cellar, or what ever you like. All this at just shop prices. The only thing you have to do is choose and serve yourself, but don't worry advice is on hand.…

When you are in Alcudia and you want some real culture and typical delicacies then you need to head to Sa Cisterna: this place has it all from knowledgeable Mallorcan owner, to all the bits of pig hanging up in various places, to the well-stocked wine cellar in the basement. Despite having a great location in the centre of the old town right next to the town hall, this place has very competitive prices and a familiar atmosphere. It’s a great place to buy Christmas presents for foodies as well as holiday gifts and souvenirs. Hanging up are the typical Mallorcan sobrassadas as well as chorizos, salchichones and other Spanish “sausages”. In the fridge are fine quality Spanish hams and a wide variety of cheeses, which can be bought by weight or can be eaten at the tables in the shop itself. Whenever I visit I like to go down to the wine cellar and choose a bottle of wine, have Salvador the owner to open it for me and serve with a selection of ham, cheese and whatever else looks good on the day. There is a seating area with tables inside the air-conditioned shop and a few tables and chairs outside for those who prefer the open air.…

Four of us shared a truly delicious plate of Spanish ham and cheese outside this shop just off the main drag in Alcudia. The price for this, possibly our best lunch in a week of lunches, was 6 euros each which made it really excellent value. The shop is stacked with local produce and there is wine downstairs. We purchased 3 bottles of very pleasant wine for 10 euros. Really worth a visit for grown ups.…
