I did this hike with my mom and my best friend. It was a super easy hike with amazing views. We felt well equipped wearing just running sneakers and workout clothes, no need for too much hiking gear.
It was about a 20 minute drive to the start of the trail from where we were staying in Magaluf. Based off of other views, we first went to the tourist office; however, they said it would take us 45 minutes just to walk to the start of the trail. Since we were on a time crunch, we took a taxi and she knew exactly where to take us. Just ask to be dropped off at Cala Fornells (or the Hotel Cala Fornells). It is not exactly the start of the trail but cars can’t get too far past that.
The actual hike itself had amazing views of the side of the island as well as a little cove to swim in.

We found out about this hike on trip advisor and Google Mapped it! We also called into the local Tourist Information but she had run out of Maps, but she did point us in the right direction but we ended up taking a detour which meant that we ended up climbling the wrong side of the hill (not on a marked out path) but still managed to get to the Monument/Tower at the top. This walk did take us past some lovely bays with amazing views out to sea. We ended up coming back another day to snorkel in Cala Fornells Bay.
Once at the top the 360 degree views are amazing and you can see all of Paguera and Camp de Mar.
On the way down we stuck to the correct path and at the split between Camp de Mar and Paguera we decided to head into Camp de Mar for a look round.
We recommend sturdy shoes as its all uneven rocky paths but the hard work is well worth it! A bottle of water is a must as there are no shops and with the climb you will need it!
We cannot give a proper time scale for this trip as we went on the detour and stopped at different coves and bays to admire the view, but we did enjoy a full day out as we included Camp de Mar before heading back to our resort of Paguera.

We started at the woodland car park just behind Cala Fornells Hotel and followed the easy path until we reached a junction that just had hand-written directions on the former direction posts. Although we took the wrong route towards Calo d'en Monjo - and then had a much steeper climb up the hill - it was all beautiful and if it's the journey rather than the destination that is important, then it was all worthwhile. Lovely trees. wildlife and great views. My tip if you want to follow the 'normal' route is to pay better attention to the information boards in the car park than we did!

Peguara is a busy coastal resort which has a long boulevard for the shops and bars and cafes, and then three beaches that you can walk.
There is also a lovely walk up to Cala Fornells with some great views over the beaches and resort, with a drink or bite to eat at one of the hotels at the top.
Also the Beach Café at the end of the boulevard had some great deserts. Regards Gary Saunders

We have just returned from Paguera after a short break . This is a well maintained resort with lots of shops selling all the usual holiday stuff. Lots of bags, leather goods and mini Markets. The main road runs for a good mile or more along the main front, of which is a one way system. So when you arrive in the dark without knowing where you are, you will probably need your phone to find your accommodation. This is a prominently German resort, with few English around. Everyone one speaks to you in German in the shops and restaurants. The resort seems a bit like it's stuck in time warp, although there are a few places that are trying to create a more chilled in trend feel to then but not many . People don't seem to make much effort to dress up in the evening for dinner in stylish typical Mediterranean attire. This maybe due to the fact most holiday makers are German here. I don't think they are known for style or trend setting . Overall it's got a lot going on if you like busy seaside places in the sun . It doesn't have a feel of cosmopolitan at all, so if your looking for this its definitely not here . It's with in easy reach of lots of other resorts on this south west coast of the island and does have a really good, regular bus service to many places . The A4 bus takes you to Santa Ponca, Magaluf, Palma Nova and portals nous then Palma takes around an hour or more to Palma .

This is a short hike up to the tower, from which you will enjoy the views off the coast of Cap del Mar and Peguera on the one hand, and the mountains on the other.
We completed the hike in about 45 minutes (25 up, 20 down), starting from the parking side behind "Petit Hotel Cala Fornells). You can also start from the large supermarket in Peguera. At the roundabout, take the right exit and walk uphill to the hotel. Takes about 5-10 minutes extra.
The walk is well marked by yellow signs. Although there are some junctions, Just follow the path uphill. And if you take a wrong exit, dont panic: all trials end up at the tower.
Views during the walk are great!

There are quite a few walks between the various resorts before you head up into the hills and pine forests. Paths are reasonably ok but steep in places. Some of the signposts have fallen into disrepair or simply missing which is a nuisance. Tip- there is a map board in the car park and suggest you take a picture of it with your mobile phone to keep for reference. There are some excellent cliff top views, small beaches and coves. Recommended if you want half a day away from the beach and want to experience the local countryside

There are lots of trails across this little promontory, it's really lovely and worth spending time walking here. The smell of the pines and the occasional breathtaking view of the bays at cap de Mar or towards peguera make all the steep bits worth it. Wear walking shoes or shoes you can walk in, some of the going is a bit tough.

I was staying in Santa Ponsa but got the bus round to Paguera. Will certainly be staying here for my next visit. Lovely town with some very nice shops and restaurants. The beach and promenade are really good and all look spotlessly clean and well maintained with a good choice of restaurants.

Calvia tourist office have a lot of nice tips for hiking. I have tried some of them. CR1 between Peguera ans Cap Andritxol is a nice start of the beaten track. Walk through pine and wild olive trees. Different options to reach the tower - one very steep.
If you like walking in nature - this is a nice option. Good walking shoes, water and food is necessary to bring.

It's approx. 6 km overland but it's tough going in the heat.
If you are going to try it wear stout boots and carry as
much water as you can, no shops.
