We had one-day visit in Camp del Mar, because we docked in Palma on a cruise. We planned to stay on a peaceful spot, not in overcrowded beaches. So, we considered blessed aftee arrive on Camp del Mar. Peaceful, calm, clean, with a gorgeous water and landscape on beach. Hope we return someday.

Hotel was very nice. Had a lovely relaxing holiday, we went all inclusive which was as you'd expect. Usually plenty of choice re fresh produce. Entertainment was as expected, although one night there was a really good double act of singers. Other nights they could have done with a better selection of music. Would have liked tea / coffee making facilities in the room.

If you want time to write a novel this is the place to go as very little seems to happen and there is very little to do. A distinct lack of shops, bars etc.. along with a small beach where a pair of sunbeds cost a ridiculous €16 a day to hire and limited facilities has resulted in Camp de Mar being too quiet. A larger watersports section with more choice would help. There is a golf course and driving range close by and there appears to be a large development being built as you enter the resort, however, if there are no plans to develop the area further with shops, bars etc... visitors will be reliant on the hotels for their entertainment or take a taxi into nearby Peguera which has everything in spades including a much larger beach. The few shops that are there sell the usual tourist tat alongside which there is a designer shop and one offering ladies fashions. The small supermarkets do have most things you may need but no cigarettes! If you do smoke there is a vending machine in one bar and that is it. Peguera however does have two tobacco shops that I saw and are ideal for your needs. The one bright point was the superb taxi service which is located outside the two hotels. In short, if you want a base to explore this part of the island and love staying in a morgue then this is the place for you.

Pretty small cove, shallow sandy beach. Lots of umbrellas and sun beds to rent. Weirdly everyone we heard chatting was English

Yet another lovely time at The Grophotel Camp De Mar, staff hospitable, food great, fantastic atmosphere and location, just a bus or taxi ride to Peguera and Port D’Andratx even to Palma, if you feel the need. Looking forward to our next trip. A little apprehensive about posting as we don’t want it to get too crowded there🤗
