- demiiEngland, United Kingdom4 contributionsMaga Feb 2024To be completely honest it’s not worth coming in February If you’re looking for a partying holiday , the entire strip is closed except 1 pub and 1 small, very expensive bar. There is not many restaurants open either but the prince William pub is pretty decent. Most hotels are under construction at this time of year too so the outdoor pools are out of use but the beach is huge and never far away. It’s been between 17°-21° while we’ve been here which is definitely much better than the uk! Warm enough to wear shorts and dresses in the day time but be sure to bring a jumper for the nights because it drops down to about 10° The best part about it this time of year is probably marine world in Palma nova which is about €10 in a taxi. Palma nova also has a few restaurants open. We also came in October of 2023 and it was a completely different holiday! So be aware that out of season Maga is more of a chill holiday. Best time to visit is between May-October. Still nice out of season but it is what you make of it.Visited February 2024Traveled with friendsWritten February 18, 2024

- Mário M4 contributionsWhack out for guys with margaritasAmazing place with a lot of great restaurants and beach staff is really nice. What out for those beach guys who offer margaritas and mojitos. They are looking for someone who will trick or pay 20 for one drink. Don’t show them your wallet. Interaction with these guys are usually not very pleasant it’s more like “give me money and leave”Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 22, 2024
- RachelEN88London, United Kingdom58 contributionsLovely beachMy sister and I spent all day on this beach and over all it was brilliant. The sea is crystal clear and it wasn’t overly busy. We hired 2 sun beds & an umbrella for €19.50 (they take care as well as cash). The beach has a range of bars and restaurants behind and a small shop so we could purchase refreshments. Only missed out on a 5/5 because there was some smashed glass in the sand as we approached it and then quite a few cigarette butts ‘buried’ in the sand around the sun beds - otherwise it was lovely. The sand is very, very soft and powdery so no need for swim shoes when you go into the sea.Visited September 2024Traveled with friendsWritten September 13, 2024
- Paula C2 contributionsClear water and soft sandThis is the main strip of beach and it’s really lovely. So user friendly, after the morning on the beach, there are plenty of restaurants and bars, we tried different ones everyday for lunch. The sea was clear and not freezing cold, we swam a lot, also saw those tiny fish, I was a bit creeped out by them but got used to it by day six. Worth paying for the beds and shades, it’s still hot here. Amazing.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 30, 2024

Our trip was doomed from the very beginning as our flight out was delayed by nearly an hour, would’ve been better had it been cancelled in hindsight.
We arrived at our accommodation and was pleasantly surprised with the facilities at our hotel, one of the few positives to come out of a disappointing trip.
We went out and sampled a variety of disappointing warm watered down overpriced drinks, my 9 euro “Long Island ice tea” in a carling glass at linekars bar was dreadful to say the least. The food on offer throughout the trip was extremely poor and basic, this was made even worse as on our penultimate day the island of magaluf suffered a shortage of ham and cheese.
Throughout our time in magaluf whilst out and about in bars/restaurants we were constantly harassed by many of the local “lucky lucky men” trying to sell their cheap poor quality goods, after the 3,000tg time this becomes quite tedious and dull. Despite this we did manage to become acquainted with a few of the more friendly gents, special mention to kimpembe and N’golo.
On the whole a very disappointing and overpriced weekend away was made worse with a long delay in the airport! (I am writing this laid on the floor in the airport)

Warm water and calm. You can rent 2 sun loungers and an umbrella for 13.50 on the beach. There are many supermarkets that sell food and drinks. There are no cafes to drink an espresso. We have to walk a little to get a cup of coffee. There are many restaurants (expensive but the most beautiful ones are expensive))

So much bigger and cleaner than we thought it would be. Everyone makes so much of the bars you tend not to think about the beach and when you get there it’s really nice, even water showers to clean feet off !
It’s also got many bars and cafes to grab cold beers and have lunch right opposite, so you don’t have to go far at all. We stayed till eight at night some days, it was still hot.

Nice sandy beach. Wasn’t too busy at the beginning of October. Lots of cigarette butts but relatively clean other than that. Water is clean and lifeguards very observant. Even after rough storms overnight, the sea was silty but still relatively clear.

The beach here seemed so much bigger than six years ago. Plenty of room, it wasn’t too packed and we swam in the sea, forgot how cold it feels at first, but we ended up floating for ages, saw loads of fish too. Excellent beach.

Magalluf has a long, sandy beach. Great for walking along the edge of the waves and gettting an equal tan.
Has handy shower poles at the edge for cleaning feet and hair.
It was a good five minutes to our hotel, but we didn’t go back until late evening, choosing the bars and cafes to see us through lunch and cold drinks.

How long will it take to get to Magaluf beach from the cruise ship port? And what is the cheapest way to get there? How much for Bus? Taxi? Is there a shuttle?
Written February 22, 2018
The cheapest way to get there is by public bus for sure.
Buses to Magaluf-Palmanova are easy to catch from the main bus station in Palma. Bus takes about 20 mins and costs about 3 EUR.
TAXI:
Estimated fare for this trip is 30.34 € .
Distance: 29.40 km.
Duration: 31 min.
Taxi fare breakdown:
Jump in the taxi 3.00 €
29.40 km. x 0.80 € per km 23.52 €
Waiting in traffic (~13 min.) 3.82 €
On a weekend it would be 35.54 €
