We were nervous when we arrived. All of the spots near the water, plus all of the umbrellas, were taken (we arrived around 11:00AM). We set up behind the umbrellas, but once we got in the water, it didn't feel too crowded. Great spots along the left side to jump into the water (anywhere from 3-6 feet). We rented a paddle boat that had a slide for an hour for only $14 (which was one of the highlights of the entire trip).

This beach is absolutely stunning! Anyone visiting Cala Dor should ensure they visit this place. You are also able to rent paddle bikes with both small and tall slides which kids have enjoyed. You can also do a bit of snorkeling and enjoy jumping into the water from the rocks. O would also recommend walking there in the evening to see the lights from the boats stopping by.

Super convenient beach, really nice white sand, lifeguard on duty - lots of families and the umbrellas/loungers fill up fast, so get there early (even in the off season). Parking can be found just up the hill a short 10min walk away. Loved that there were restaurants, toilets, etc. for a fun day at the beach.

This beach was just a few minutes walk from our hotel, it was a lovely beach and very big compared to the others.

I went for a swim on my own after a jog and was a little surprised when I felt something in the water nipping my leg, it didn’t hurt but was just a little disconcerting. I had a small scab on my leg which they seemed to be attracted too, it was quite funny really my family found it hilarious and weird in the same amount!

Lots of beds were ‘reserved’ who knew you could do that on a beach. Swimming pools are bad enough for this, it’s as contagious as some viruses!

We visited in August and it was super hot, sometimes unbearable so definitely find shade in the trees, take a tent or like others have said reserve a subbed and parasol.

Beautiful beach and so easy to get too. Be there very early as the seats are snapped up. Trees give shade if needed. One thing tho, the fish bite. Never before have I encountered this. Not just a nibble a bite, leaving a bruise. Quiet honestly it's put me off going in as it's happened a few times.

Beautiful beach, lockers attached to sun parasols which is a great idea. 2 loungers and a parasol €17 till 6pm. Explored a couple of smaller beaches, all stunning but more to offer on this larger one in terms of eating and a convenience store

Hot and busy, would be stunning again if there were half the number of people.
I wish I'd visited out of peak season. Not as warm and quieter.
Hubby loved jumping off yhe cliffs into the stunning waters though.

Lovely and clean little beach just beside our hotel. The atmosphere was fun and friendly and we had no problem getting sunbeds, loos and something to eat. Water was clean and the sun was in it's full glory.

We visited Cala D'or for a week in June 2018. Myself, partner and our 4 year old nephew. We had a great time visiting this beach - only 1 we attended whilst on our holiday. Beautiful, small, sandy beach with clear, blue water. Ice cream stalls round about were very reasonably priced. we only ate lunch once down near the beach as we were AI at our hotel, but there are a few places to choose from - again our bill was reasonable.

Stayed for the 1st time in Cala D'Or from 20th to 27th Oct & spent a few hours at this beach. This is the largest beach of the 5 in the resort but it was still a bit on the small side for us. Despite it being the last week of the season & the weather being rather cloudy in the main, the beach was busy & we only just got a sun bed. It must be crowded out in summer !The sea was clear & cold though not as cold as the freezing temperature of the hotel Sa Marina outdoor pools !! It was interesting watching the Starfish boat picking up passengers at the side of the rocks & the beach has various ice cream & snack bars along it. I always like to take a walk along the seashore where it meets the sea but you could walk along this beach in 10 seconds ! Overall it's a pretty beach & probably good for younger children. As a resort we liked the pedestrianised centre of Cala D'Or, even in late October there were loads of restaurants & most were open which was much better than Cala Bona last year where most places were closing down ! It has plenty of trees & proper shops as well as tourist shops so is nice to walk round. There didn't seem to be much for children to do in the resort though we eventually found a park with bouncy castles, trampolines & kids motor bikes just past Cala D' Ice & La Fontanella Italian restaurant, the T Rex bouncy castle was amazing ! We walked to the marina once but found it better value for money to eat in the town. Overall we found Cala D'Or a pleasant resort with plenty of authentic restaurants but maybe more suited to older couples or families with very young kids, it may be a bit quiet for teenagers or young couples.
