We were very surprised at the cost charged €3.00 per day for the safe plus €3.00 deposit most other places we have stayed recently have been free or €1.50 per day. If you want pool towel you will be charged €15.00 deposit & a daily rate of €1.50, never before have we been charged a daily rate for a towel! When you pay the extra to book a Superior room these charges do seem high, luckily we only needed the safe! By the time we checked in & paid the safe & tourist nightly charge we were just over €70.00 for the 2 of us. One good thing the pool & beach bars were reasonably priced.

Cala Esmeralda is a small sandy cove enclosed between rocks. The water is clear and a few meters from the shore it becomes blue. There are a few sunbeds about 30 meters from the shore which cost €7.50 each. The rest is a free beach, for those who want to plant their umbrella and put up their towels: the only flaw, like all the coves in the area, is that in high season it is extremely crowded. There is a nice bar with clean toilets and showers and there is parking nearby. However, it is worth a visit.

This is a very beautiful spot, it’s more adults and young couples and children that don’t need prams.
There are lots of steps and has no wheelchair accessibility, it’s a long way down with a pram but is possible. The beach itself isn’t that big, we went on an evening or on sunrise when it was quite.
It really has amazing views, there where no showers or public toilets on this beach.

The beach is beautiful, the waters are crystal clear. The only problem is where the waves break with the sand there is lots of plastic. Which is a shame. Also you can see the pollution from sunscreen. You’re able to cliff jump and snorkel. No current and little waves do very safe for children. Also the beach is quite small so I would say arrive a little earlier to get a place, especially now due to Covid.

Gorgeous beach, great for snorkelling. Slow shelving beach which is great for kids. Excellent beach bars around it. A shower facility is also there. You can get the green local train that stops here too which is stop 10. Great fun had by all here.

We stayed nearby and popped down to the beach and the sea. It was busy but very clean. Two nice beach bars. We came down late one day and sat there until the stars came out as the beach emptied. Fab location.

This is really an idyllic picture-perfect little bay with almost surreal crystalline turquoise waters and framed perfectly by pines. However, personally don’t like busy beaches, so was happy to sit in the shade of the trees and enjoy the cool(ish) sea-breezes whilst watching the boats coming & going , and people diving off the rocks into the sea. Went one evening for a bit of quiet - but be warned , we got surrounded instead by clouds of hungry mosquitoes 🦟 - so made a very hasty exit.

Small beach with a lot of people up in June when I was there. The water is clean and I think you can hire sun beds but I didn’t ask about that.
