- RajenderAmsterdam, The Netherlands63 contributionsNice sandy beach in small but lively townNice sandy beach with clear water (watch out for some stones in the water). Close to a boulevard with shops and supermarktes. In the harbour trips are organized, and you can rent a boat, jet ski or sup board. In the evening nice bar/restaurants and some clubs. Recommandable to stay here several daysVisited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 4, 2024
- steve wBournemouth, United Kingdom21 contributionsHope to returnWe stayed at the Ca’n Picafort Hotel which was fantastic. The room was on the ground floor and had a huge balcony (K105) and we were next to the grassed area. The food is amazing. Lots of English and cooked to perfection. You also have lots of Spanish food if you prefer. Wine, water and soft drinks are all free. Restaurant is fully air conditioned and very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful and entertainments are good all day, and good show bands in evening . The only thing we didn’t like was the beach, it’s not a patch on Alcúdia beach The town has lots of shops and the train runs up and down all day.Visited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 3, 2024
- JessYorkshire, United Kingdom54 contributionsStunning beach but over crowdedAbsolutely stunning beach, so aesthetic and very peaceful in a morning. We walked on it most mornings and it was a good temperature with stunning views. It got busier later on in the day and you would struggle to find a sunbed past 11am, and it looks very crowded around midday but on an evening it is a lot quieterVisited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 31, 2024
- bianca bBassano Del Grappa, Italy20 contributionsCan PicafortI was in Can Picafort in May, June, and also July, I think it is the perfect place for those looking for fun and also tranquility for the family. The people are very loving and willing to help you and open to socializing. From here it is very easy to get to other beaches too and it is mostly close to everything. If you want to come to Palma de Mallorca you have to rent a car, otherwise you risk not being able to see everything the island offers. The places I liked the most were Cala Major, Playa de muro, Port d'Alcudia and obviously Palma. I would be a little careful about the seafront restaurants because they are expensive, otherwise I think that everything is accessible and that there is everything you need. Also, be careful because in the hotel they may not tell you, but palm water is not drinkable. You have to buy bottles of water for the rest it was a unique and beautiful experience I will definitely be back.Visited May 2024Traveled with friendsWritten September 13, 2024

Okay beach with not very big waves. When we were there the water had a lot of algae and also some plastic unfortunately. Renting 2 beds and a parasol costs around 15.00€ for a whole day. Beautiful sunrise worth waking up early for.

Our family of two adults, a 7.5 year old and a 5 year old visited the beach three times during the first two weeks of August.
It's a good sized beach and although busy during the height of the summer, we had no problems finding a space arriving around 10/10:30.
The sea was relatively calm and there were gentle waves when the tide came in which the kids had fun with. Managed to body board a little but conditions probably better for paddle boarding.
There are public toilets behind life guard stations and cold water taps to wash your feet at the breaks in the wall to get down to the beach.
Lots of shops and restaurants along the beach and it's a lovely walk towards the harbour with play parks dotted along it to keep the children entertained as you walk every 400 metres or so passing the boats, boat tour operators etc. Enjoy!

We walked from the marina to the opposite end of the beach. There was a lot of seaweed washed up towards the marina end. This got better and better the farther along the beach we went (with the marina on your right looking out to sea, walk left). There are plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants along the whole beech but again we found the area more run down towards the marina end.

Visited this beach and town as we stayed at a Thomson Gold hotel in 2000 for our honeymoon and wanted to see and relish some memories
We first visited the hotel C’an Picafort Park which is Really nice and has been totally renovated however the area outside is awful run down dirty lots of premises shut down.
We visited the Port and the beach much the same worse than an East Coast UK seaside town I realise now why we went to Porto Pollensa beach every day.
We shall never return so sad to see it so run down. Lots of other nice places to go

We visited this beach four days out of seven on our holiday in June 2022. The area towards the South is quieter than most of the beach, which suited our group of four a little better as the holiday was intended to be relaxing. The beach was sometimes a bit dirty and there are a few fag butts kicking around but otherwise we loved our time here. The sea is the gem though; you can swim out quite far fairly safely; one of us even made it out to a large buoy that sits upon a rock formation below the surface. We all observed lots of fish species in this part of the water, one of us even spotted a small octopus! Overall this beach is superb and we fully intend to return!

Difficult to enter the water with a lot of rocks and the reef. Definitely a great snorkeling area but be careful. We found the beach to be crowded and lots of trash on the sand actually. A huge difference found down the road at San Baulo which was absolutely beautiful! Much nicer entry, sandy and not as crowded.

Hi does the 6 drink limit on the all inclusive come into effect?
Or is the all inclusive not limited on alcoholic beverages?
Written August 25, 2024
Are the waves always quite high on the beach? Most of the photos seem to show the surf quite choppy. Speaking as someone that’s not a good swimmer.

How do you hire the loungers and safe? Do you pick one then wait for someone to come round?
Written September 16, 2019
Just find an empty bed and occupy it. There are people who move around checking for new people and they will come and find you. You pay them, they give you a receipt and they mark your place. Thats it.
Sometimes they don't come to you for quite some time, then its better to wait for them or if you're in the water, keep an eye for them, then come out and pay them.

Hi, are there any pedalos for hire on the beach and how much?
Thanks
Written July 21, 2019
Nautic Soller has boats/kayaks etc for hire. I was told they rent out pedalos as well.

We were there in May.
It was rather windy and swimming was out of the question (rough and cold sea).
You can hire sunbeds and parasols on the beach, but you can also bring your own towel.
The first half of the month September is usually hot. Hotter than May and hotter than the second part of the month.
I don't think we'll be going back to the North East of Mallorca. Too windy for our taste.

What’s weather like in May
Written March 21, 2019
We were there the first half of May.
Windy, stormy even some days.
Rough cold sea meant no watersports no swimming.
If we went for coffee or ice cream we would sit behind a windscreen.
We arrived late at the hotel and I couldn't get the heater figured out.
That was one cold night we had!
