The course is fine and the two star ranking is mainly for the pace of play. We got paired with two guys from Germany who we reasonable golfers. No handicap certificate was asked for and there were no marshal's going around checking on speed of play. We basically waited on every shot and the standard of players in the 4 ball in front was not good. But worse they had no courses etiquette and often looked for golf balls for 10 minutes or more even on 1st hole in front of the starter.This is just not acceptable and golf clubs need to take responsibility and keep things moving. I appreciate people must start somewhere but you can't be let lose on the course until you have some basic skills. We love to stop for a beer following a round of golf but ran out of time, all very disappointing as the course was good enough.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review about your experience here at Golf Capdepera.
We apologise for the fact you were having to wait at every shot for the players in front of you who were most likely beginners. This is very rare and we are surprised as it usually it quite quiet and a game goes at a smooth rate.

Great staff gave a hearty welcome but sadly the course lets it down . Basically it's unkempt,poor greens and generally ' scruffy ' . Charging the same and more as many other courses on the island is tantamount to robbery . It has the potential ( and the back 6 holes are really interesting ) but needs some serious repair work ! Common you owners invest more in your investment and you will reap more . Finally , again , thanks to all the staff for their friendly reception

After reading some previous reviews I was a little dubious about giving this course a try, I'm glad I did.
So the golf, as previously mentioned the front 9 is fairly easy and open, the back 9 is a real test that will require your thinking head, I got into lots of trouble not taking the safe shot. Various elevated tees and blind shots. Playing this course a second time would knock a few shots off. The course was in fine order, the greens are true and fast. The staff were polite and very attentive. I just turned up at 0800hrs by my self, rented some clubs and off I went. Easy as that. Cost was approx €90 for round, clubs and trolley, it's holiday so I can handle the price.
Restaurant is nice and the seatting area a typical spanish style patio, very pretty. I had the half lobster with rigatoni. A bargain at €18. I might bring my wife here for dinner one night, she would love the rustic feel.
In sum, a nice course with some testing holes. I shot 93 playing off 20. Give it a try.

We went to the golf club for a wedding. Very professional, nice food and drinks. Lovely surroundings for a wedding or other private party.

... unfortunately some of the greens are in very bad shape with sandmarks covering damaged parts. Overall the course offers some really exciting holes, especially on the back 9 where it becomes hilly and you can see down toothed sea from holes 14,15,16 and 17. Hole 18 is a good finishing hole currently under construction. nice clubhouse, good service also at the pro shop - greenfees are currently very reasonable

Golf in Majorca is expensive but this is one of the more affordable. I played with my son-in-law. He's 16 handicap and I'm 25 and we both really enjoyed it. Well kept, very scenic and plenty of interest for people of all abilities. In the hot weather a buggy is a 'must'. There's a screen in the buggy showing you the layout for each hole. At the end we enjoyed a few cool beers and a delicious paella.

We played on a Sunday and it was extremely busy and quite slow. We were offered s time with 2 others but as I don't speak German and most there seemed to be German we declined. Condition of tees was poor and lots of plug marks left on greens despite free repairers in shop. The middle holes felt rather confused in the planning but some delightful finishing holes with quite long green to tee distances so our buggie was v welcome. Good use of the natural terrain for the last 6 but I would think some longish carries for high handicaps.
The water hazards were quite empty which detracted from their appearance.
All in shop friendly and accommodating and nice bar and terrace area.
Would recommend this course as it was fun to play but it needs to be accepted that it is rather overplayed and not in great condition.

Reading the previous review, I wonder if we have been at the same course?
When I visited Capdepera for the first time in mid-March 2015 there was standing water in many bunkers due to heavy rains a few days before. The rest of the course was eminently playable and in decent condition with only a few bare patches on some tees, and in much better condition than for example Son Termens. We were told about the water problem in advance by the friendly Mattias in reception who also apologised.
Unlike Canyamel which throws its most difficult holes at you at once, the first 12 holes at Capdepera are a (relatively) gentle and flat parkland stroll with plenty of room on and off the fairway for wayward shots. In fact, I would consider bringing a high-handicapper or even beginner with me on the first nine holes and we would both have a good time!
From hole 13 everything changes; the course becomes tighter, you have forced carries, changes in elevation, out-of-bounds, the lot...but also some great views as a compensation. By that time you should have a good idea where you hit the ball that day.
The end result is a golf experience that I am looking forward to repeating: as much for friendly welcome at the club as for the quality of the course and wanting to play better now that I know where to put my tee.shots on the last six holes, of course.
....and finally: it is good value for money, at least by Mallorcan standards.

Ask for Tobias to teach you golf lessons! Brilliant Pro and easy going! Golf course front 9 are rahter easy, back nine is tougher. beautiful course to play just don t forget the sun screen!

Our first golf in Majorca, so can not yet compare much. Very Nice course and terrasse after the play. A few nice sights on the back 9.
