The golf course, Canyamel Golf, situated in the northeast of Mallorca, boasts a diverse menu for the golfer and is distinguished for being of the most beautiful golf courses on the island. José Gancedo designed this 18 hole golf course (par 73) with the philosophy of doing the least damage to Mallorca by adapting the course to the natural topography of the land. The scenery is just breathtaking and this golf course is a masterpiece and they are keeping their promise of amazing greens. Fairways were in great condition and the greens are fast and most have two to three levels, so in order to score you need to hit the right level and putts down the slope are impossible as the ball will not stay on the green. Accurate shots and good course management definitely help.
First 9 holes are up and down and you have to adjust your shots to the differences in elevation, great fun though. Second nine are more level and the scenery equally impressive. Clubhouse and facilities are top notch.
If you are a good golfer this is a must to play when in Mallorca.

Played Canyamel Golf course for the first time. Nice layout and surroundings with interesting holes. Too bad the course was in a bad condition. Clubhouse with nice terrace and great food.

A very good course, well presented but with some slightly odd features which you will either like or not.
There is one downhill par 3 which is only some 90 yards long but with a tree tier green which makes putting more than challenging if you're on the wrong level!
There is a lack of signage on some parts of the course and it is far from clear as to where the next hole is, particularly going fro 9th green to 10th tee.
Overall though this is a good golf challenge for better players and high handicappers alike.
One final point. The clubhouse is like a 6 star hotel. It must rank among the finest I have ever seen and I have played some 400 courses

Played a round of golf at this privately held course. After playing 2 wholes we were rudely approached by Mr F. Berger the manager. He lectured us in a very unfriendly way and treated his own course Marschell without respect. Simply unacceptable! We later learned that many members already left the course due to this behavior. Very unfortunate!

Played canyamel end of May. Not played before and managed a early bird tee time to reduce cost. Front 9 holes superb and challenging , the back nine a not as good but enjoyed the 18th up to the beautiful clubhouse. Greens were superb tees and fairways a little long but they were cutting when we played. Clubhouse is great, staff in the pro shop did her job but no interaction, however bar staff were very helpful and engaging (the French bar tender).
Overall a good day out at a good golf course. I would have been a little disappointed if paid a full price but worth a visit

The golf course is a good test for all standards of golfer, the front 9 is a little more forgiving & the last 5 holes played into the mountain are quite tight and need good course management.
Clubhouse is world class with a great menu and quality offerings.
The course needs natural water from above for it to really blossom into it's full glory.
Ps there only a water machine dispenser on the course (1 euro coin) and no food station.

Course is right next to Park Hyatt Hôtel, great design fairways are varied. If you play early in the morning the fairways are wet and balls stop quickly. The afternoon when the fairways dry out the ball runs a lot further. Plenty of free lines and if you hit out of bounds difficult to find the balls. A few holes water either side. I really love this course if you play early in the morning you can zip around the course. Staff at friendly and overall well priced.

Visited with a group of 16
Weather was not the greatest but the course held up fantastically to heavy rain
On arrival the club house was well presented the shop was well shtocked with clothes and golf hard ware , staff friendly and efficient .
The course is long with tricky Mackenzie greens well protected by bunkers , overall the course was in great condition and it played to its full potential . The greens fast but true are fab , the fairways were in great condition and the rough was fair .
I hired a buggie and it included a drink, tees and GPS which came in handy
Back in the club the bar staff were friendly and helpful and supplied plenty of free nuts etc I can say one of the best gin and tonics ve had .
Overall well worth the money and great course well maintained and great challenge
The 18th with 3 tier green was a great closing hole for a group as you can watch from the balcony

Played this course some years back, even tough a long trip for the island from Palma it is worthwhile as the course is challenging and gives very nice settings, lots of different holes, .... only if the ranger would have responded after calling him from the buggy once I got blocked by 3 foursomes on the last holes which took 30 minutes a hole .... this is what a ranger is for to make sure you don't have bloody amateurs blocking a course !!!

Great condition golf course exceptionally quite but that suited us perfectly. Nice clubhouse and staff were very pleasant. Some challenging holes overall a great course. Prices were not cheap when compared to other courses.
