It is a few weeks since I last played here and to be honest I will not be rushing back. The course is in dreadful condition. All the greens have large bald patches that have been overdressed . The bunkers all have weeds growing in them and have not been tended. The tees have not been over seeded and are no better than the path on my allotment.

Just been back to Play golf again at this wonderful course. If you ever wanted to play one hole in your life, it’s number 4, you tee off from the top of a cliff, the fairway is about 300 feet below you. The first time you play hole 4, you cannot imagine you could ever reach the fairway.....and you don’t. After you’ve hit the fourth ball, you work it out, you only need to drive about 120 yards, because of the height you smash it to hard and it goes in the lake. Anyway getting back to Marina, It’s absolutely stunning, there are birds called hoop hoos all over the the first 2 holes then number 3 hole is driven half way up the mountain with the view of the sea all along the fairway then the famous 4th then drive your buggy down the winding path down to your ball, my wife a none golfer likes coming with me just for the views. You might find a piece of earth dug up, don’t worry, it’s just the wild boars from the night before. Apart from the course the staff from the manager Kirk, receptionists Paki, Maria and Carmen to the guys who look after the buggies. Mike, Juan Pedro and the fun guy who’s name I’ve forgotten are great, it makes me feel guilty with my dreadful attempt to speak Spanish, and they chat to me in very good English. I lie it’s horrible! So don’t come, otherwise I’ll never get on the course!

This is a tough test of golf, but well worth the effort. We had researched the golf in the area and were not disappointed with our selection to sign up for a two month period. Being a little dubious about some of the previous claims, we were advised to have a preliminary round before signing up, which we did and were delighted. We steadily climbed through the holes, before coming to the 4th tee (par 5)...wow!!..the drop down to the fairway was over 60mtrs from the White tee and reminiscent of something you’d see in South Africa. The next 9 holes meandered through lower slopes, until finally reaching the 12th green. The climb back up to the 13th tee with electric trolleys would be exhausting however, Marina Golf Mojacar have catered for the walkers, with a free service to bring both walker & trolley effortlessly up to the next tee. The greens were true and well maintained. Warm friendly atmosphere from Carmen, Maria, Kirk & Michael have made this course/club one of the best we’ve played and would heartily recommend playing here if your serious about your golf.

Worth playing, just for the views! Mojacar is a tricky little course, with some really tight holes (especially holes 3-13), which are located the other side of the hil. The rest of the course is very forgiving, but the greens were exceptional, quick and true. Small Clubhouse, but very friendly and cheap beer with free tapas! Definitely worth a visit.

Recently had a couple of rounds at this nice golf course the staff were very helpful nice lady a the shop head green keeper brilliant gave me a lift back to hotel just one major problem .I spent 5 hours behind 2 ladies and 2 men I am a single figure golfer and have played all over the world all the people who were playing in completion she and her partner were in waved me through and were very frendily but when I asked if I could go through she went mad telling me she had been a member for 14 years and I had no right to speak to here and so on.I had just paid 75 euros and I would suggest if members want visitors to come and enjoy there golf course then the members want to learn some manners.
