Mojacar is worth a visit, plaza nueva is lovely but just a general wander around the town is worthwhile, lovely quaint shops, clean and tidy and a bit of old Spain.

There is a lift up, if u park in the market (on a non market day) and it’s a 3 min walk, just follow the signs. For those who walking is ok, it’s worth a trek up there to just see and appreciate the town and the views from the top are superb.

We drove for a couple of hours on the recommendations of friends and couldn't believe that was quite where we were headed when we arrived at the bottom of what looked like a urban development. However, once parked we started to walk up and was very pleasantly surprised at the lovely houses, cobbled streets, flowers and the general Spanish gem hidden in the interior. We ate at a terraced restaurant which was staffed by friendly waiters and had a lovely 3 courses with vino for 10e. All in all a lovely day out .. well worth visiting

Had a really good day out here got on the bus really busy as market day is Wednesday 1 euro each way. It's a Spanish/moorish old town it's has a labarynth feel to it amongst the houses there are bars, boutique shops go in bamboo. You get a free map at the tourist information shop. The market has the usual stalls but if you enjoy markets you'll grab a bargain. From the market you walk up to get the lift up to the old town. Lots of breathtaking views from there too.

went here twice -first with hungry tired moaning children on a busy Sunday midday (aborted mission early) and then revisited sans famille /solo around 10am midweek and it was a different and much more enjoyable world. not stand-out but very nice, and interesting touches with the cave and a fantastic glass/art shop just off the plaza. would have loved to visit in the evening and sit and take tinto de verano in the square watching the mountains and the sunny sea. maybe next time!

Nice atom sphere. Plenty of bars and cafes. It's a small mountain top square with lifts to carry on top. Nice clean and guess it'd the oldest part of town with rich culture and history

Both me and my wife, loved going the the Plaza in the old town. The walk up is a good stretch of the leg's but take your time and take in the views or the shops, or take the transport up if you have health issues. There are coffee and food and bars at the top and there is nothing better than taking in the views and people watching the afternoon away Bliss indeed.
At night is worth a visit also as it is lit beautifully and seeing all the lights upwards of 20 miles away is very nice too.
Both a night and day visit is a must if in Mojacar on holiday.

Right up inthje old town, this is a tourist spot, but wirth visiting. Bars with amazing views look down to the sea and the planes. Some good restaurants. Explore the alleys and paths leading off from this, you can't get lost, the area's too small!

Wonderful place with amazing views.
It is a fantastic place to walk and discover many spots to take great pictures. Plaza Nueva is a wonderful village, with pretty small and narrows streets plenty of flowers pots and great places to enjoy excellent Spanish food.
